Hot Springs State Park in Thermopolis, Wyoming, USA is known for hot springs which flow at a constant 135*. The water flows into the Big Horn river. We stopped for a few photos, but it was hot (and smelly)and we were on our way to the dinosaur museum!

Amazing views, Melinda! In the thumbnail, I thought that was a waterfall... 😏
I guess it kind of is....just a drippy one!
very beautiful all photos. nice
Thanks!
Very cool! I'm not sure I could get my wife out on that little bridge though.
she would at least want to have nose plugs!
I can smell the sulfer already! Haha!
Oh, you know it!! No breeze and a HOT summer day.
Congratz, you just have been resteemed by @pixresteemer!
(All right but who is pixresteemer?)
Hugs for you, dear friend!
This place is absolutely stunning! Love the photos and the landscape!
Wyoming is an incredible state if you like wide open spaces!
I do! Actually I love everything, would love to travel everywhere! Thanks Melinda!
Traveling is my passion, too! I hope you get to go everywhere!
Thanks, Melinda, I hope I still have time for it!
That "smelly" was maybe bacause of an old dinosaur in the water 😉
That had not occurred to me!🤣 maybe old dinosaurs DO smell like rotten eggs!
That's a wellknown fact 😂😂😂
OMG remarkable post my lovely friend. The breathtaking scenery and shots. Up and resteem ;)) Have a beautiful day ;))
Thanks so much, dear Margaret! I have 100's of photos from that trip....you are likely to see more. it was our last major road trip.
I would love to see more. Fantastic place for relaxing and amazing for a tired soul :-))) great. I am looking forward:-)))
can you swim there?
Most people use the bath house where the mineral water is maintained at 104 degrees. I dont think the river is deep enough for swimmimg. Did you see my previous post with the abandoned cabin? Same river.
Im not sure if i saw your previous post, I'll take a look ( :

Lovely pictures, @melinda010100!
I just got home a week ago from a week long camping trip in the Wind River Range of Wyoming.
Now I want to go where your pictures were taken! What an awesome state!
Thank you for sharing.
I agree. I love Wyoming! I haven't been in the wind Rivers in 30 years. I would love to visit that area again..
Beautiful place Melinda and you captured it wonderfully.........UPV & RSD
Thanks so much, dear friend. I appreciate you so much!
Always a pleasure Dear Melinda.............I feel the same 🌸💖🌸
Fun seeing a post about my home state of Wyoming (I lived in Lander for 15 years). And yeah, the Thermopolis hot springs is certainly worthy of a great Steemit post like this one. That place is really heavenly. Yeah, the smell is from the sulfur minerals inside the natural hot springs. Another thing you might like to know is that the rivers surrounding "Thermop" are full of humongous trout! My dad and I used to fish there, and catch some whoppers. And I have a special place in my heart for the little town there, too, because I hit my first homerun there. Thanks for sharing!
I've been in Lander, but it was years ago. This trip we spent the night in Riverton and then went toward Dubois. I love Wyoming...you can be pretty sure I'll be posting more photos!
Right on, I look forward to more. Yeah, Lander is a precious little town. I believe the population is still around 7,000, and the elevation is also 7,000. :) I want you to know I’m spotlighting this article of yours in a curated list, recognizing posts that are shining on Steemit right now. Looks like an awesome place with its green island in the middle! The dinosaur museum should be right there, it looks like a prehistoric site.
looks amazing there!
This looks amazing...
