Highest Point in Cebu, Philippines--Osmeña Peak

in #nature7 years ago (edited)

Philippines is known to have 7,107 islands. Most of these islands are situated with world-class panoramic sceneries .

On an island known as the Queen City of the South--Cebu, lies it's highest point--the Osmeña Peak. Standing 1,013 meters above sea level, these collection of jagged cliffs and hills forming like a giant green Hershey's kisses chocolate, with breathtaking view of the sea, and some neighboring towns is worth a visit.IMG_2135.jpg

From Mactan-Cebu International Airport, it'll be roughly 30 minutes to 1 hour travel (depending on the traffic) going to Cebu- South Bus Terminal. From there, you have to take the bus (that is if you don't have a private vehicle) travelling at around 2-3 hours to the town proper of the Municipality of Dalaguete. Then, you can take a "habal-habal" or a motorcycle for 15-20 minutes till the dropping-off point. The hike to the peak of the mountain is 700m but the good news is, it's not that stiff so you can enjoy the view on you're way there and take lots of pictures as you can.

In addition to that, entrance fee will be collected amounting to 30php by a tourism officer with a receipt. You may also avail for a tour guide which is not compulsory. There is no fixed amount as to how much these tour guides are charging. Normally, it'll just be up to you, but just to give you a ballpark figure, 100php will do, depending on how generous you are.

Visit Philippines. Visit Cebu.!IMG_2134.jpg
