Between the ocean and the forest, the voluptuous Dune du Pilat (2.7km long, 500m wide and over 109m high) has its secrets of beauty. It reveals at nightfall the uniqueness of its sunsets, which change with the tides of the tides, clouds, places or forms of the dune. Its sand mostly made of quartz grains, is one of the finest in France. The dune of the Pilat with the remarkable and inescapable character does only at its head. It rolls on itself and moves from 1 to 5 meters per year towards the forest.
