I've been living in Surigao City in Surigao Del Norte for 9 years but my dream of visiting Surigao Del Sur remains a dream.
Surigao City is found in the north-easternmost tip of Mindanao, province of Surigao Del Norte. While popular destinations in Surigao del Sur is just roughly 4 hours by land.
There are a lot of place to discover in Surigao Sur aside from the famous Enchanted River in Hinatuan and Tinuy an Falls in Bislig.
Here are few
*The Cabgan and the Turtle Islet
Cabgan is a marine sanctuary, located in the municipality of Barobo, Surigao del Sur. Can be reach 30mins ride of pump boat. Across the islet to the east is the Turtle Islet. This islet is known to have a multicolor reef that adds attraction to it. And in the West across is the vanishing islet which only appears on low tide.
*The Libuacan Cold Spring
Found in Tagbina, Surigao del Sur. This unspoil nature spring who's source of water is from underground! Cold as ice as they say. And yes! So a must try.
*Bogac Cold Spring
This spring is just 21mins from cabgan by land to traffic in Barobo, Surigao del Sur. The good news here is that they do not collect entrace fee. There is actually other spring in barobo the Veto Cold Spring. Both are cold, clean and with crystal clear water.
There are a lot that Surigao Sur can offer in terms of nature the Wakat Cave which can be found in Barangay Wakat in Barobo. And speaking of waterfalls, I think Surigao Sur is gifted for having alot and to name theme is just too much😂 (The Dap Dap falls, Sian Falls, Balinganga falls and Bao-bao Falls).
Now, these are the reasons why I always wanted to visit Surigao del Sur.
