We chartered a 40 ft Beneteau sailing yacht and took a trip around the coast of Oahu.
The boat was pretty nice, not bad for a charter. It had autopilot and bimini top. There was no generator and the onboard ac wasn't working which wasn't disclosed till we had embarked.
The sailboat was more than enough room with 3 staterooms and 2 heads, but if was nice to have such a large vessel in the Pacific.
We started out of Hololulu City Harbor and headed west toward Pearl Harbor. There were quite a few naval vessels surrounding the area which was clearly heavily protected and a large part of the island.
Here is a picture of @vsoutdoorsnaps at the helm.
First night sunset off the west coast of Oahu
Off to sea again day 2
Hardwork on a sailboat
We ended up at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on the last night. They had fireworks and we were tired of no AC on the boat.
We had a great adventure around Oahu sailing for nearly 3 days. It was let us see parts of the island we never would have if we had just stayed on Waikiki Beach. In Waimea there was a large homeless population we spent the night near and it was quite sketchy, but we didn't have any problems. The island was very friendly and boat ran and sailed quite well.

i saw someone here had a steem boat
I posted a painting I did of a steem boat.
Shitty that no one told you guys that the a/c didn't work. Photos look great and nothing beats being out on the open water.
That's amazing! Were you familiar with how to sail before you took the boat out?
Yes, i've had multiple large boats, sailing and cruisers as well as went to seamanship school......they told me he didn't check references though
That's awesome. Learning to sail is on my bucket list, along with learning to fly a small plane and many many other items :) Just gotta tick them off the list one at a time!
