The Palo Verde Beetle!!!

in #nature7 years ago

The Palo Verde Beetle is actually a fascinating bug that most people don't have a chance to see! It is only native to Southeast America and Northern Mexico. This bug is also referred to as the Longhorn Beetle or as I started off by calling it the Giant Desert Beetle. As I was saying about how people don't often see them, some people go out of their way because they want to have this specific bug in their collections of insects. I won't go into too much detail on it as my video really covers it all, but I have to say that I think that it is really cool!

  1. THEY FLY- If I don't get a lid for this container that it's in, I better not be waking up to a Palo Verde Beetle on my pillow next to me!!!!
  2. THEY DON'T EVEN EAT- Once one of these bugs are full grown, they rely on their energy in order to survive. Pretty much, they just live to reproduce and then they die... Pretty tragic huh? So this thing I found could literally be dead in the next couple of days or even less.
  3. I mean, they bite, but are not harmful to humans. Not going to over exaggerate it because it's kinda a boring subject!!

ANYWAYS, HERE'S THE VIDEO!!
