Rila Mountain, Bulgaria. A trekking day in the valley of Malyovitsa

For me Malyovitsa is a magical place. I am sure that I have at least 1000 photos on my phone from there.. May be more.

I am sure also that I'll have a lot of posts about this valley. So let's call this one Malyovitsa - Episode 1. With all my love for this place, I hope that it will not become a soap opera :D. I've been there so many many times. For treking, climbing and ski-touring or even just for sleeping in the hut located in the valley, when I need mountain air, and instead of becoming tired of visiting it, I like it even more :) As one serious mountain guy used to say - Something quite interesting always happens in this valley :) It is true!
I am getting emotional even when I am writing about it. This is a love beyond recovery.. And a lot of people suffer from it. Recently I saw this picture in a bulgarian mountain group on facebook

Translation "Sometimes I sit and I wonder if Malyovitsa is also thinking about me". I laughed a lot, because it is so true.

If you are planning to visit Bulgaria someday and you love mountains, you should remember this place! It is an absolutely must -go place.. And if you are bulgarian, and you have never been there... SHAME ON YOU! Fix this mistake! :D
