Daily Nature Fix: Nature in Panoramic. (Original Panos)

in #nature8 years ago

Good afternoon fellow nature nuts.  Today's Daily Nature Fix is going to be a small collection of landscape panoramas that I've taken over the years.  All of these were shot with my iPhone 6s.  I'll add a brief synopsis of each, right under the photograph.  I hope you enjoy them!

^^^This first one was taken last year at the Racetrack Playa in Death Valley.  It's a dried lake bed that is almost three miles long.  It's incredibly flat/level too, with the far north end being just 1.5" taller than the far south end.  It is also home to the famous "Sailing Rocks".

^^^ This panorama was taken at World's End State Park in central Pennsylvania.  I love traveling and seeing the world, but sometimes it's easy for me to forget just how beautiful my home state can be.  From this vista, you could see for almost 20 miles on a clear day, maybe more.  You can see the Loyalsock Creek wind it's way through the valley. One can also score some incredible photos during the fall season when leaves are changing.  Tons of great hiking trails are found throughout the park as well.

^^^This one was taken a year or two ago in Glacier National Park.  It was the scenery along our hike to Iceberg Lake.  Kylene and I both agree that it was our favorite hike of all time... so far.  The photos are amazing, but it's nothing compared to seeing a landscape like this in person.

^^^This last one puts us back into the desert. It was taken at Monument Valley in southern Utah.  Those mitten buttes have become the most iconic symbol of the wild west.  I couldn't help but to think about stereotypical cowboy and indian scenes while I was there.

Thanks for reading!  I just realized that all of these panos are from the continental USA.  If you guys enjoyed it, I'll do another one in the future of panoramas from abroad!  I post a nature-themed Daily Nature Fix blog every day. Please upvote if you enjoyed it and be sure to follow me @customnature so you'll never miss one!  See you tomorrow.  - Adam

Very cool!

I love the beauty our nation has to offer.

The range of landscapes in the USA is massive. I feel very fortunate that you can see almost every type of environment that the world has to offer, all within my own country of residence.e

Every type of environment... exactly.

good photos

Just amazing pictures very nice. Thanks for the beauty!!!!

Thanks @deno52! I'm glad you enjoyed them...

I really like the last two! My preferred ones of this set!

Nice! You enjoy the bit more rocky landscapes huh?

Definitely. Both the ice/snow/mountain combination on the one hand, and the red color typical from Utah/Arizona on the other hand :)
