A Mushroom Walk

in #nature6 years ago

It has been raining nearly everyday in the north-east for the last week. After a day of sun I thought I would go out and see if any mushrooms were in the forest. To my surprise I saw hundreds if not thousands of mushrooms on my nature walk. Normally I would see two or three different types of mushrooms on a walk. On this trip I saw dozens of different mushrooms. I was super excited to find some black trumpets (the second photo from the top).

Can you identify any of the other mushrooms?

Thanks for stopping by today to check out all the beautiful mushrooms. In case you are interested I shot all of these photographs with my iPhone 8. If you have any questions or comments I would love to hear from you.

A few days ago a friend spoke about fungi and I said I like them but I prefer to see them and not touch them or eat one of them gives me some fear maybe they can be poisonous but I enjoy seeing them

Here it has some incredible and I think I had not seen one like the orange

Thanks @yesslife! The mushrooms that are safe to eat are delicious!

Nice photography. I love it

Nice photography

What a beautiful array of mushrooms! I'm sure you know which are safe to eat but I'd be too nervous. It looks like a lush forest trail @chefsteve

Thanks @buckaroo. I know a few of the choice edible mushrooms. The others I just leave them alone!

These are some amazing mushroom close-ups! Despite being a huge fan of mushroom picking, I have never seen some of those species... Great photos :)

I also have not seen a few of these before either. It was just that we had so much rain lately that so many dormant mushrooms woke up! Thanks for your complement about the photography!

Aww, I'm so jealous of you seeing lots of beautiful mushrooms! They are always really interesting to me. I want to walk there and see them in real too!

We have had so much rain lately that there are mushrooms everywhere! I went on another hike and found some more beautiful mushrooms. I will post them soon.
