RE: Thermopolis hot springs

in #nature7 years ago

Fun seeing a post about my home state of Wyoming (I lived in Lander for 15 years). And yeah, the Thermopolis hot springs is certainly worthy of a great Steemit post like this one. That place is really heavenly. Yeah, the smell is from the sulfur minerals inside the natural hot springs. Another thing you might like to know is that the rivers surrounding "Thermop" are full of humongous trout! My dad and I used to fish there, and catch some whoppers. And I have a special place in my heart for the little town there, too, because I hit my first homerun there. Thanks for sharing!

I've been in Lander, but it was years ago. This trip we spent the night in Riverton and then went toward Dubois. I love Wyoming...you can be pretty sure I'll be posting more photos!

Right on, I look forward to more. Yeah, Lander is a precious little town. I believe the population is still around 7,000, and the elevation is also 7,000. :) I want you to know I’m spotlighting this article of yours in a curated list, recognizing posts that are shining on Steemit right now.
