A PLEA FOR NATURE

Why has man survived since the dawn of time? We do not possess claws or teeth of tearing flesh or strong muscles for running after prey. Instead we possess a power much better than all this which is knowledge. With knowledge man has been able to survive and has found ways to make up for his short comings and weakness in nature.

With his great knowledge man made tools to help him survive e.g spears,clubs,arrows etc. Just as man finally earned his place at the top of the food chain (the ultimate predator), he needed to find other ways to survive the hard conditions of the environment. He then built shelters and clothing to survive various seasons and times. Then when he had properly adapted to his environment he decided to reproduce. He then passed down the knowledge learned to his offspring and them to their offspring and so on through this the were able to survive even the hardest conditions.

But then man became arrogant and proud he forgot that he needs nature to survive. He built houses out of materials which can't be broken down back to earth. He has destroyed countless ecosystems to fulfil his selfish desires. Which has lead to the realization that man is the architects of our downfall.

A self destructive species.

Man is the only living thing that literally kills for plesure. He destroys life but has the ability replenish it. If for every tree that is cut down 3 more are planted in place wouldn't that be dandy. In nature it's a cycle of give and take.

The plants are eaten by the herbivores the carnivores eat the herbivores and then when the carnivores die the plants use their decay. Man is aware of this due to the knowledge he has gotten over time but why does he not take heed. This is simply because of petty things that in the long run is meaningless like wealth isn't nature rich enough for you, Power? You have been given dominion over all other living things.

What man believes is that nature can fix itself is ultimately wrong considering the is no higher being than man. It's is more like a supreme being created a garden and we are the gardeners. But if a gardener continuously takes from his garden with out replenishjn it the will both perish.

The solution to man's problem lies in the fact that he should be giving back to the back to nature,he should replant falling trees, avoid damaging what is left of our ecosystem,get along with your fellow man because it's paramount to our survival. We know all this but yet it's a problem to implement. In religion it's said to be cause man ate from the forbidden fruit and philosophically it is said to be man's true nature to destroy himself. To tell the truth I don't blame ourselves. We are naturally curious.No one told man not to tamper with radioactivity or discover electricity all this are our greatest achievement. But would it mean anything if we all died because we failed to protect our home.
I don't mean to scare you but it's not to late for man. It all begins with us taking a stand. Before a problem is solved you need to know it first and this post has made the problem quite clear.

But if we claim to be ignorant of our ways then I am sorry for us all
