RE: Of Sugar, Stevia and Sweet Cicely - Oh So Sweet...

This is definitely one I am bookmarking under Keto bookmark tab. I am always looking for alternatives. We thought for a while that I was "addicted" to sugar, but we have come to find it is not an addiction, but a habit of having dessert after dinner. It didn't have to be much, just a mint as we walked out of the restaurant door or a scoop of ice cream; I just had to have something "sweet" to cleanse my pallet.

Knowing this we have been able to focus on what needs to be done. We have been on keto for a while and we are both losing weight. I am finding that using sugar alternatives to be helpful. I have been experimenting on the type of alternative sweeteners to use and so far we have been using Splenda.

I know, I know it is not considered the best for anyone, but it is where we are at. Isn't that where you are supposed to start; where you are at? So, I do plan on experimenting with Stevia and your post will help me with that. I am so thankful to have people on the blockchain who care enough about others that they share the goodness in their lives. I guess in this case it would be the sweetness in your life that you are sharing with us all!

Thanks so much!

After being on a Keto diet for over a year now and having our bodies be fat adapted I fond I have lost my cravings for sugary stuff but still enjoy a bit of sweetness without effecting our blood sugar and stevia is doing the trick for us. I hope it works for you too! I hope you find a pure form without any aftertaste that you enjoy!
Keep well!
