Extraordinary Benefits of Gotu Kola Leaf
Gotu Kola (latin: Centella Asiatica) is a plant that is beneficial for the brain. This plant usually grows in gardens, fields, rice fields or on the roadside. This plant is good for daily consumption. As a substitute for ginko biloba found in synthetic supplements.
Already for a long time, gotu kola has been used for medicine, such as skin drugs, nervous disorders and improving blood circulation. This plant originates from tropical Asia, spread in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, India, the People's Republic of China, Japan and Australia and then spread to various other countries. • Red Gotu Kola. Red pennywort is also known as antanan taman or antanan batu because it is found in rocky, dry and open areas. Red pennywort grows with stolon (geragih) and does not have stems, but has rhizomes (short rhizomes).
• Green Gotu Kola. Green pennywort is often found in rice fields and between grasses. The place that is favored by green gotu kola is a place that is rather damp and open. In addition, there are four types of plant such as gotu kola or antanan, namely antanan kembang, antanan beurit, antanan kanan and antanan water.

• Gotu Kola contains asiaticoside, thankuniside, isothankuniside, madecassoside, brahmoside, brahmic acid, brahminoside, madasiatic acid, meso-inositol, centelloside, carotenoids, hydrocotylin, vellarine, tannins.

The triterpenoidal glycoside is thought to be called asiaticoside, which is antilepra and an extraordinary healer. Existing vellarine substances give a bitter taste.

This plant looks familiar to a species with have here in Cameroon though am not too sure if its the same species.
