RE: The Food We Eat

So true. And once you start eating healthily, you lose your tolerance for the junk food! Both in taste and in how your body reacts to it. Things that I used to love as treats now no longer taste that good; on occasions where I've eaten out too much (I almost never eat out, so this came up years ago when I'd go to a weekend convention with friends, or when I traveled to a friend's wedding), my body has NOT been happy with me. At least when I went on the wedding trip, I had learned my lesson and was sure to at least bring the makings of my daily protein shake that keeps my blood sugar happy and is my daily breakfast, so I had a good start to my day even if lunch and dinner were less than optimal.
I wasn't sure if TSA was going to let me through with ziploc baggies of powder, since I mix my own protein shake from scratch ingredients, lol - but they did! I even went out and bought the Starbucks instant coffee because it comes in individual sealed packets (I mix it up with coffee), but the other ingredients were home-mixed, lol.
