A sudden trip to the US- Part 1

in #naturalmedicine4 years ago (edited)

Today I am going to share with you another amazing travelling story that I experienced back in 2019. I travelled for 2 months around the globe in 2019 and most of them were not preplanned. One of those trips was to the US. I went to the USA at the beginning of the summer to attend a conference which was held in Pasadena, California. My conference was only for two days but as a travel freak like me, it was not enough for me to travel another continent only for two days. So, I made a tour plan within a couple of days to visit Los Angeles, Seattle, New York and eventually I stayed there 20 days.
It was my first transatlantic flight so; I was pumped up about my trip. I booked my flight through Turkish Airlines. From Belgrade, I went to Istanbul and from Istanbul to LAX. My flight from Istanbul was at 13.15 and I reached Los Angeles at 16.55 the same day but around 13 hours have been passed in between. It took me around 3 hours to pass the US immigration as I am a Muslim student travelling from Serbia to the USA. They asked me a lot of questions and one of them did I practice my religion and would I go to Saudi Arabia if I get a chance in the future. Weird, right? Well, after all the hustle I was able to enter the US. One of my Bangladeshi friends hosted me for the first night and because of the Jetlag, I could not sleep at all.
Since I am an aircraft engineer, it would be a shame not to visit the Boeing factory in Seattle. Though Seattle is two hours flight from Los Angeles still I could not resist not going there. I took an early flight from the LAX to Seattle.

After reaching Seattle I took a taxi to the Boeing factory.

I already bought the entry pass to the museum and it cost me $25.00. Here are some photos from the Boeing Future of Flight museum.

Here you can see the Boeing factory. Boeing 747, 767, 777, and 787 Dreamliners are assembled here before they depart to begin service.

It was strictly prohibited to take any pictures inside the factory and they remind us of that at least 10 times.
But it was an amazing experience for me to visit the assembly line of Boeing’s aircraft.
After visiting the factory, I still had few hours before my return flight to Los Angeles. So, I went to see the city of Seattle. It took me around 50 mins from the factory to the city Centre. It’s a beautiful green city with lots of pine trees. I went straight to the Gas Works Park. I was lucky that it was a sunny day as Seattle is known for its wet weather. Here are some photos from the park.
Though the temperature was around 15 degree, I manage to find someone who was taking bath in Lake Union.

After visiting the park, I went to see the very well known Space Needle. Now I don’t remember why I didn’t go up to the needle, was it because I didn’t have enough money or I didn’t have much time :D.

After staying 15 mins in front of the needle, I took a bus to the airport. I had to change three busses to get to the airport. People most frequently use cars but I wanted to take the risk and took buses to get to the airport.
Here are some random photos that were taken on the way back to the airport.

After spending around 10 hours in Seattle, it was time to say goodbye to this beautiful city. In the next part, I will write about my adventures in California. Hope you like this story. Until next time....
