Moduza procris has dark reddish brown upper wings crossed by a wide white macular band, a wide white spot on the forewing cell to the mid-dorsum of the hindwing. There are 4 subapical white spots on the forewings, two series of black submarginal and postdiscal spots on the hindwings. The underside of the wings is dark reddish brown but the base of the wings is pale greenish gray.

Larva: Moduza procris larvae are cylindrical, greenish brown, the head capsule is orange with dark brown spots. The surface of the body is covered with many small tubercles. In the next instar stage the body color of the caterpillar changes to dark brown with spiny and fringed tubercles, the head is covered with short and blunt spines.

Pupa: Moduza procris pupa is creamy brown with dark brown to black segments, about 18 - 19 mm long. The appearance of the pupa looks like a tightly rolled wilted leaf.
