I'm thinking about starting a journal for all my story ideas. For almost 8 years I've used the Bear app to capture my ideas. I like it because I can access it from all of my devices and it saves in real time. It's great for all kinds of notes and documents but I've been dreaming of pulling my story ideas offline and into a journal. I want to flip through something tangible.
My only hold up is losing the easy search capabilities that come with online tools. How do you search through previous entries if you're looking for a specific topic or theme? I'm wondering if a tagging or bookmarking system might work. Any ideas?

Perhaps using an alphabetical tabbing system would work. Think of the word you would search for and use that as the beginning letter of the tab.
