in #naijawords3 years ago

Hello dear! Let's jump right into the concluding part of this write up.

  1. AMEBO - This is typically someone who is nosey. Always trying to get involved in other people's affairs and spill information about others. You really don't want to be called one.
  1. JEJE - Similar to the slang 'japa' used earlier right... lol. I know. This typically means being careful, easy going, taking things calmly.
  1. SAPA - This right here is my least favorite. This word has been a major popular slang for 2021. Sapa means being broke, poor, and used to define a state of poverty. I guess now you understand why its my least favorite. For me I want to forvert live on the opposite side of that fence. Lol...
  1. WE MEUVE - The words 'we meuve' have become better accepted as a motivational phrase. It has become a common way of Nigerians saying “life goes on.” Many a time, especially among the youthful generation, you find woeful/ unhappy ending stories often ending with “… but then, we meuuve!” It's our own way of saying Oh well.... Let's go on!

So there you have it, all 7 slangs. One thing you must know is that Nigerians can typically make slangs out of anything and any situation. There is humour in virtually everything and a new slang for every situation. So when next you are in Nigeria, take some time to learn a few words off the street. Ciao
