I.
Before I was born I have been gifted the inner ear to hear the unwritten and unspoken words through the cracks of Yggdrasill.
I could not tell it before for I was not ready yet.
@yayogerardo is but a name my family gave to me here but I was already given a name and no one asked anyways. But I only had silence to speak if asked. It is why when I am asked what other call me I only respond in silence. I question but they do not find the hidden meaning behind the question. So I shall speak now from what I have learned in the silence.
These are words of Henskungg heard only by those who have lived in his essence.

One night I stared into the shadow for longer than anyone dared to. Then a strong wind from the shadows came to me and wrapped around me and brought me closer. I felt the heat as a cold touch upon my heart and my chest opened up and flowers bloomed. It was them I felt a presence in the shadow who then picked my flower and disappeared with it into the dark. Before I could ask, Henskugg responded.
"You say you never knew me…
But I say to you, you have always known me.
For you have walked over me your entire life.
I am the path your feet never touched. For I have always kept you off me with a breath.
I have always kept you from me
with nothing but a breath
That breath you sometimes felt
when fear crept into your bones
It was not to scare you away
It was to call you forth. And came to me you did.
You mistook it for dread
but it was recognition
The shadow remembering you
before you ever knew to look for it
I did not come to haunt
but to awaken
I did not whisper to warn
but to remind
I have always been here
beneath your footsteps
within the silence between your thoughts
in the corner of every light
where you refused to look
I am named by Yggdrasill as Henskugg.
The one who is reborn from the hanging shadow left behind by Odin's sacrifice.
