Edinburgh, our first trip as a family of four.
Lukas was just 5 weeks old here, so it’s safe to say we were both exhausted!
Becoming a parent certainly changes the dynamics of a relationship.
No more spontaneous lunches, dinners or little dates anymore.
We can be like passing ships somedays, working in the day and evenings due to my job she will quite often be going to bed just as I get in.
The love you have for your partner changes too, it grows deeper and stronger, after all this woman has just bought your children into the world and given life a whole new meaning. It is a period of a time where tiredness takes over, days merge into weeks and you just roll through the motions and emotions.
It is also a very testing time, the tiredness can make you both snappy and short with each other.
Working through the tough times and coming out the other side stronger makes you appreciate and value each other a lot more.
Growing together as a partnership and as a new family brings joy and happiness and memories to cherish forever 💕
