Yesterday was all about procrastinating. I had plenty of stuff I needed to do around the house but instead I took a short road trip stopping along the way and taking photos of anything that caught my eye.
I have always enjoyed taking long drives just to clear my head. I headed east with no particular destination in mind just the idea that I didn't want to deal traffic. I avoided the freeway and took the route though farm land and small towns.
The open farm land in east Arkansas reminds me of when I was little, riding on a tractor with my grandfather.
Wow ... The red Monster Truck looks amazing ! Did you had a test drive ? 😄
Hehe no, I don't think it ran. The hood was off. Thought it was a cool idea and definitely an attention grabber.
Indeed, these are attention grabber :-) the smiley on the cylinder tank really got me! There is a good sense of humor to it.
For the building in the last image, I wonder what is it? It looks massive and it seems to have a really important purpose.
Yeah that smiley face stands out against most of the other sights out there. Mostly empty fields
Just a guess but I think it has something to do with processing rice. The building is owned by Riceland foods and Arkansas is the largest producer of rice in the US. The building is really long but not very deep. Maybe the thickness of two of the cylinders.

I have a clear idea when it comes to small scale rice production, looking at that building, it seems that it can cater several tons of rice processing. Awesome!
On the other hand, I also noticed some of the photos that you composed really well, I like how you show one side of the subject, front view or side view. It made it more interesting and simpler to look at. If you see me doing those shots in future, then it's inpired by this post that you did :-)
Thanks for the compliments :)
I love the bird house leaning, it was like its going to fall with all those birds on one side .Cool shot !!!!!..And I really like the bottle in the dirt...I would never think that a bottle in the dirt, would be a really good picture.
Haha, the bottle was an after thought as I was leaving a spot where a bridge had collapsed.
Thanks for the compliment and resteem.
