The town of Argao is best known as the town of Torta and Tableya and like any other towns in South Cebu, the town possesses unique and distinct features. But what really highlights Argao is its historical and cultural structures, topping the list is the ever amazing Baroque-Rococo church St. Michael the Archangel Church.
Compared to most churches in the south, the sophisticated beauty of the Corinthian masonry of St. Michael the Archangel Church makes it very unique.
It took 33 years (1803-1836) for Friar Perez to finish the St. Michael the Archangel Church. It was found around 1733 AD.
Here are a couple of my shots during a visit in Argao.
