Hi everyone,
Once again, thank you for honoring my works by awarding me first place in the first edition of the competition organized by @timsaid supported and sponsored by @blocktrades and @theycallmedan!
It is with great pleasure to take part in the second edition of the competition. 😊
My home town is located 30 kilometers from the highest mountains in Poland - the Tatra Mountains. These are ideal mountains, where the average tourist and professional photographer will always find something for themselves. The Tatra Mountains are the highest mountain range in the Carpathian Mountains. The highest peak is Gerlach (2655 m a.s.l.), located on the Slovak side.

But that's not what I want to talk about, but a certain phenomenon that occurs in the Tatra Mountains, that is the spring crocuses.
The most popular place to watch the crocus "show" is undoubtedly Chochołowska Valley, which, however, due to its easy access, very quickly turns into an uninterrupted river of people.
The tiny, tiny purple flowers at the turn of March and April cover mountain pastures, glades and valleys every year giving the places a completely different look. Beautiful "carpets" of purple crocuses are almost a showcase of Chochołowska Valley, where every year more and more tourists and photographers come to see this wonderful scenery with their own eyes.

The origin of the crocus is a kind of botanical mystery. In the mountains of southern Europe, species belonging to this kind of plant often grow above the forest boundary. In the Tatra Mountains, natural habitats are not known, because those where Szafran Spiski meet were created by human activity.
The first thing in the morning is that the steps have closed chalices and only gradually open with the sun's rays.
Several shots from the ground
In beautiful sunny weather, the views are impressive...
Ufortunately, this year Poland decided to close All National Parks because of the pandnemic, so we have to enjoy the photos from previous years. On the one hand this and well, because probably as every year crocuses would be trampled by a mass of tourists.
All photos was taken Canon EOS 60D with lens:
Canon EFS 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6
Sigma 18-35/1.8
Thanks for the competition and take care of yourself! 🙂

Thanks for your support. I hope that the Tatra Mountains will be quickly opened and I will be able to share with you the beautiful scenery of the summer. 😉
