My Introduction to Splinterlands
Good day, I am Schattenreich. I am a newbie to Splinterlands. I had been invited by a friend of mine who was excited about playing a card game that he told me was very similar to Legends of Runeterra. At least I thought so too at first, then I watched him play until I was convinced to try my hand at it.
I am very much new to card games, so I didn't know what to expect, but I found that I liked the way card battles worked in this game.
My Introduction to HIVE
I first came to Hive when I looked for advice everywhere I could, and among those many advice was to join Hive and see if I could look for advice there too, with the added benefit of hive payouts that could assist me in buying DECs. So I was tempted, and also overwhelmed because I was very new to the idea of Hive and how it worked.
I had thought that since there are many separate websites under the Hive network, that I'd post at least once in two of them. I was quite surprised to see both my posts in Hive Blog in my profile. One on here, and the other on Splintertalk. And that notifications here are the same way in the other. I was quite pleased to see that my questions would be addressed and noticed anyway even if I posted only in one platform. After reading the comments, I found myself eager to reply, but that I ran out of fuel to do so.
That said, I apologize to the delay in replying to comments on my previous posts, but I shall address them soon enough. Maybe after writing this if I have enough fuel left.
Don't get me wrong, I understand completely why it is designed that way. I find that it is very balanced. I can reach other websites with a post in just one, and I don't have to worry much about spam.
Personal Stuff
The personal stuff, I'll keep brief: I am from the Philippines, and I am studying Information Technology. I also happen to like writing literary pieces. Mostly one-shots. That said, I wonder if I could share some of my works here from time to time, maybe as standalone posts, or attached to one under a miscellaneous section.
I also enjoy playing Foxhole, and Yakuza Kiwami. I might write a piece about Foxhole on here someday. I love that game a lot.
I have decided not to include any pictures because I really value anonymity even in social media, and that I do not want to run the risk of breaking any rules.
Into A New Frontier
Seeing as Hive Blog is a social media. A different, unique one, but a social media regardless, I am curious about contents. What can I expect? What can I look for? How do I adapt some of the limitations?
I'm really interested in the prospect of earning from my posts. Maybe I could technically call myself a writer for once because I am technically earning something from my writing. Maybe I'll write about my experiences in Splinterlands, maybe I will write one-shots. Maybe it could be both.
Conclusion
I suppose that concludes my introduction. I am happy with the warm welcome I have received, and with the friendliness of the people that replied to my post. I appreciate all the advice I had been given so far in my previous posts. I shall address them at my soonest convenience.
In the spirit of heeding an advice, here is a thanks to you, @anggreklestari.
