Myanmar expressed concerns

Myanmar has expressed deep concern over the application to the International Criminal Court (ICC) over the jurisdiction to take legal action against Myanmar, forcing the Rohingyas to leave the country. Prosecutor Banusuda filed this petition with the ICC rule.

In a statement from Myanmar's state councilor's office, it has been said that Myanmar is not a signatory country of the ICC charter. The Charter has said that the ICC has jurisdiction over any country not signed. The UN Convention on the Vienna Convention of the United Nations in 1969 has not been ratified by the international treaty on a country that has not been ratified. It has been emphasized on the prevention of sexual violence in conflict-affected areas.

In a report sent to the Security Council, Antonio Gutierrez has said that international physicians have documented cases of psychological fears of physical and brutal sexual violence against many of the nearly seven million Rohingyas fleeing in Bangladesh. There are allegations that Myanmar's armed forces carried out this repression with local militias. During the clearance operation of the army in October 2016 and 2017, these persecutions have occurred.
