What do you think?

I've been working as a language teacher for nearly eight years and that's just a drop in the ocean if
my first-hand experiences of teaching-learning processes in an EFL context are compared with that
of an experienced teacher. However, I deeply feel that the current pedagogic practices with too much focus upon views and speculations tinted with Structuralism are rather out of place in contexts where authentic linguistic abilities acquired are seemingly assumed to be the result of linear synthesis of linguistic components. This philosophical approach tends to be a bit too materialistic and pays very little attention to
how epistemic standings across languages are built up through setting up proper conceptual apparatus
in the psychologically right manner. Maybe, it is a stupid hypothesis. What do you think?
