My 2018: A Tour Around My Town : One Day Explore Banda Aceh, A City With Millions Of Tourist Destinations

in #my20187 years ago (edited)

Travelling with exploring the beauty of the city near with hometown is a fun and cheap. In the earlier of 2018, I and some companions went to Banda Aceh, the goal is only to remove fret and go home with happiness and the fun stories.

We went to some historical tourist destinations, religion, and also the nature tourism that is in the Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. However, in this paper, I just wanted to write about the experience while visiting Baiturrahman grand mosque that it's been getting pretty, The mosque is Banda Aceh landmarks and also in Aceh.

In addition, We are also going to the Tsunami Museum, PLTD Apung, both are the tsunami historical tourism which reminds us just how fierce the tsunami disaster the year 2004. To the three destinations that I mentioned above we visit within one day.

That morning Banda Aceh started noisily with the citizens' activities, as we were walking along the main street of the city seen a lot of vehicles that pass by with each purpose. We arrived at the museum of the tsunami at 10.00 am, I was very struck by this magnificent museum architecture.

Tsunami Museum, Full of Philosophy Museum.

Upon arrival there, We go straight to the museum and access to go into here must be through a hallway called "space of fear". I immediately got goosebumps When walking into the hallway, the sound of the water splash will sound, and the voices of people reading the chanting and remembrance. We will also be exposed to splashing water When walking down the aisle space of fear.

The dark hallway has a narrow size with a length of 30 meters and the wall on the left and right side with an elevation about 19-23 meters. The size of the room, having regard to the tsunami disaster that hit in 2004. While the sound of splashing water and read zikir I call in the previous paragraph reflect the situation of panic the people of Aceh at the time of the tsunami disaster occurred.

After going through the hallway space of fear, We will arrive in the spacious room named space of memory, There are 26 monitor screens featuring 40 pictures when and after the tsunami. The atmosphere is Dim and silence will make anyone who enters the room will not be able to hold the tears, including me.

Of the room space of memory, continuing my tour of tsunami museum to the "space of sorrow", this room is shaped like a cylinder with an elevation of 30 meters and right at the tip top We will look at the resonate "Allah". On each side of the wall-mounted 2,000 names of tsunami victims. Out of that room, We will be walking in the rotating lane, the road named space of confuse.

A rotating road and continue uphill and uneven implies a feeling of confused people of Aceh when the tsunami, confused because the disaster came suddenly, because lost beloved family. and confused because nothing is left except the clothes worn. From the first step on the road space of the minimal light, From the first step on the road space of confuse with minimal light, finally the long road, winding up, and uphill is exceeded so we will find the bright end of the road the bridge of hope that would be welcome.

The atmosphere at the different bridge with all the room I have passed, the bridge is so bright and on the roof, there are 54 flags from 54 countries that became a donor to help Aceh when the tsunami. Each strand of the flag is written the word "peace" in the language of each country. Bridge of hope or a space of hope bring the message to the people of Aceh to always get up and trust that hope is always there by our side.

Tsunami Museum gave me a different sensation, a thing that I can't write with words, I seem to be in place and feel immediate grief, the panic, and anything that is perceived by the people of Aceh during the tsunami on 2004.

Speechless at PLTD Apung, Punge Blang Cut.

Once satisfied the tsunami museum surrounds the back is reminiscent of any visitors how fierce the tsunami disaster, I went on a trip I named Koetaradja tour, to other historical tsunami destination that is, PLTD Apung, it located in Punge Blang Cut village.

The Ship's Diesel Power Plant the is capable of generating electrical power of 10.5 megawatts, the ship has a length of 63 meters, weighing 2,600 tons and area of 1,900 meters. The ship Floating DIESEL POWER is one of the silent witnesses of tsunami waves. At that time, the ship is currently docked in Ulee Lheue offshore region, Banda Aceh.

When tsunami waves crashing the ship was dragged to the Mainland to participate, more precisely to the village of Punge Blang Cut. When the wave swept up, There is 11 crew inside the ship and only one man survived. Numberless, the ship was dragged up to 5 kilometers away from where they are. This must be evidence that tsunami waves that occurred in 2004 absolutely terrible.

While walking to the floating, DIESEL POWER complex page I got Speechless, silent mutes and imagine what happens when the ship was dragged to the ground. Currently, the ship floating DIESEL POWER has become one of the destinations at the same time as a vehicle of education responds to the disaster in Aceh. in the courtyard of the complex Floating DIESEL POWER also has built a park and monument. From the top of the ship, We can see the landscape the city of Banda Aceh with eyes, and also the available binoculars to make it easy we devour every inch of Koetaradja.

Impressed by The Charm of The Baiturrahman Grand Mosque.

Next, Once satisfied around the city of Banda Aceh, Finally I and several colleagues a visit to the Baiturrahman mosque, This mosque is the mosque, the pride of the people of Aceh. When I visited, already entered the Asr prayer time, me and my friend immediately preparing for prayer. The atmosphere in the mosque that is cool makes anyone who entered it would like to linger.

After the prayer, we get out and enjoy the beauty of the grounds of the mosque the increasingly exotic. As I wrote above, Mosque already looks pretty and charming after renovated, the presence of 12 electric umbrellas in the mosque increasingly expresses the beauty of the mosque and Middle Eastern scent very creamy feel.

We spent that afternoon in the courtyard of the mosque While viewing the sunset with a beautiful orange glow, a blend of the beauty of the mosque with the charm of the twilight gave birth to extraordinary nuances.

We just got home After Maghrib. About my trip to Banda Aceh, visiting places that became a silent witness the awesomeness of tsunami wave on 2004 and I finished in one of the pride of the people of Aceh, Baiturrahman Grand Mosque is a pleasant experience. All destinations that I wrote above are near each one with another, so I greatly facilitate and anyone who wants to enjoy the three places in just one day with a cheap budget.
