Secondly, there a form of power play on the blockchain, witnesses promote themselves, I am even promoting one. It is all politics. Some even go as far as supporting smaller account holders as a means of promoting their own agenda and to be frank there is nothing wrong in doing that, as long as it benefits the entire ecosystem
