Well, both Tillamook and Umpqua are tribal names, or at least the English version of them. So, Umpqua is pretty much pronounced like that. Ump, and then 'quah' at the end.
I was in Brenham because there were several different land lots I was looking at in the area. My wife and I have been talking for several years now about moving from Oregon to somewhere warmer and sunnier. Wasn't the best of first impressions to get 20 degree weather and a trace of snowfall. :)
Still, my wife went with me three other times, and we ended up in the San Antonio area (New Braunfels and out to Canyon Lake), where she actually liked a few places, Dallas, which was just too big for either of us, (though McKinney looked promising), and the Woodlands, which I liked quite a bit, but were also a little spendier than we were looking for.
It's hard to get pine trees and green grass without rain, which means less sunshine, so I'm not sure what we're going to do, since we're used to the green. We need to do something, though, because as we're aging, the cold is getting to us, and so is the gloom for at least six months out of the year.
At this point, i'm looking into the northeast corner of Texas, but as you say, who knows. No place will truly be perfect, as the green is only a part of what we're looking for. As it is, my wife lived in major metropolitan areas for the first 28 years of her life, where green is at a premium because of all the brick and mortar.
However, as you say, with a little more looking around, perhaps we can find some place. Florida's on the radar, too.
Heh... thanks for the compliment. There’s many much better authors and definitely much smarter people than me though.
Remember that Quora has a valuation north of $1.8bn. Yes, Quora is almost a decade old but imagine the potential here. @jonching was right tackling this niche, QA is a historical pillar of the internet and I’m happy to see Musing and jonching’s perseverance after the first QA app on Steem didn’t live a long life. QA and Steem is a perfect fit.
Agree with you and keep it up. You'd earn more with time. A good earning needs honest, positive and good efforts and with time these accumulates into good earning.
Thanks for your detailed reply, I appreciate that.
Now, if the possibility of being subjected to manipulation and coercion constitutes a solid reason against lowering the legal age for consensual sex, should we ban sex altogether regardless of age?
You’re disregarding the fact that a child doesn’t have the maturity to make adult decisions in comparison to an adult who can be assumed to have the maturity to make rational decisions.
Thanks for your detailed answer. I just want to point out that, how do we know that a 10-yo male definitely lack of the ability to consent to sex while a 18-yo male definitely has the ability to consent?
If a 10-yo hardly knows why their penis get erected, many 18-yo males might not know why either. Then, what gives all 18-yo males the right to consent to sex while the 10-yo males are completely deprived of it?
If a 10-yo male had sex with a woman but proved his ability to consent and good knowledge about sex, why should the sexual act be criminalized?

I've never been up that far. I have heard of Tillamook though. I've seen it here in Texas a few time actually.
And yepp Brenham seems to get cold like that and snow every 5 years or so.
Haha I'm trying to pronounce Umpqua. Sounds exotic.
Hey, @humanearl.

Oh cool. I don't live in San Antonio but I do love the city. The area going towards Austin and San Antonio is amazing.
I'm not sure where you can find that mix of weather but I'm sure yall can find. Maybe Nevada?

I agree with you on both the points related to being socialized on musing and getting knowledge about blockchain.
To get a broader perspective and fine tune the ideas for the posts by asking the questions is also a good angle.
Thanks for the answer.
