In a perfect world, it shouldn't. Be that as it may, much of the time it does.

In case you're the two individuals who comprehend that a relationship is autonomous of material components like cash, a house, an auto and other pointless endowments, at that point how much cash both of you makes wouldn't make any difference.

Be that as it may, the issue is considerably greater. When somebody doesn't profit, he/she begins to consider less himself/herself. This causes confidence issues which can show itself in various ways-like outrage, frailty, pessimism, alchoholism and so forth. This damages the accomplice obviously.

On the other side, when a man profits than his/her accomplice, he/she may look downward on him/her. That likewise does not look good for the accomplice.

Along these lines, in the event that you look carefully, you will see that it's not the cash making but rather the state of mind to cash making that influences connections.

Yes, because for many it's difficult to earn enough. Simply, that isn't sustainable to maintain a partnership because we have to survive.

If one side of the boat has a hole in it, and the other is strong as ever, will the boat sink? No, if the other side helps patch it, but yes if they can't.

Sure, I guess it can be the real problem for some couples. I would assume that it's not for most couples though.

Certainly robots beyond any doubt can replace humans and as of now are :

In all manual occupations.

Driverless autos are as of now supplanting drivers.

Secretary are now confronting computerization

Most likely in years to come specialists may be supplanted by some Bot which can complete comparable errands adequately

In any case, until further notice robots can't supplant employments like:

Information researchers.

Programming engineers

Digital security specialists

Electrical designers

What's more, most likely any occupation that includes ability

However, there no telling what's on the horizon envisioning a future where a product can do precisely or more than what a human can do is quite hard.

Be that as it may, presumably simply like different occasions "like the mechanical upset more occupations would be made.

In my opinion, there are two possibilities in the future

1. AI will replace humans

There will be times when AI will be sentient or have the awareness and ability to think like living things. Some films like Terminator, show that an AI can fight its own creator.

If human awareness can be incorporated into a computer, human intelligence that is assisted by various computer elements directly can produce extraordinary things. However, this can make the human consciousness put into the computer become rash and try to control everything because it has a much greater power. Even without direct destructive Al, there is a possibility that human beings no longer need their bodies so they move their consciousness into a computer.

2. Humans will live side by side with AI

Usually AI events are against the creator and the human race due to the lack of regulations that bind AI. Fundamental Regulations such as Asimov's Laws of Robotics, should be implemented into AIs made.

- A Robot is not allowed to harm humans either directly or indirectly.

- A Robot must obey human commands unless the order violates the first law.

- A Robot must protect itself as long as the protection itself violates the first and second laws.

In making laws for Al itself is not easy because an Al who has the ability to think faster and accurately than humans can find a gap through these laws. By applying the law to AI, AI will function as expected and not endanger humanity.

No, robots and AI will not replace humans.

While robots and AI are very capable (because we created them so), the prerequisite for them to function well is a controlled environment. But this word that we live, this world that we inhabit, has so many infinite variables. For a lack of a better word, it is chaos (though I believe beneath the apparent chaos is order).

In such an uncontrolled environment with many changing variables, robots and AI will falter.

The human mind is still vastly superior, beyond any comparison!

If I start to think about the topic I could say that anything is possible, but I don't think it will ever happen. There are enough conspiracy theories claiming such a doom situation, but I don't believe it.

I think that the planet Earth was created for humans to live on it and that's what it is. It might happen for us to live among such AI robots and work with them, but I don't see them replacing us and transforming our planet into a robots one.

Life ever prevails and robots are not alive. I don't have any argument to clearly state my case on why it's impossible for robots to replace us, as I don't know exactly how the tech will evolve, but I doubt it will happen.

I do expect to live among them in a few decades...

During the industrial revolution, humans were also afraid that machines will take over the world. It turned out that not only they didn't, they actually helped humans become more efficient and we can focused on more intellectual work due to machinery.

Forwarding time by 250 years, we are once again witnessing a revolutionary technology being born. Will robots and AI replace humans? My short answer is no. I think that robots and AI will replace some jobs that humans are currently still doing. Especially those that require repetitive manual effort. I am not just referring to menial work at shipyards or factories, I am also talking about jobs like legal proofreading, financial auditing and security events correlation. The list is endless but the sky is not going to collapse overnight. So if you are working in those areas, do not panic... yet.

With humans freed up from manual repetitive work, we won't lose productivity as a whole. Instead, I think we will be even more productive, creative and inventive. The key difference between an AI/Robot and human is that human can create something from nothing, while AI/Robot cannot. That is because AI/Robots cannot recognize problems and opportunities when there are.

AI can learn based on what they are programmed to learn. You can program an AI to identify faces better and faster with each iteration. But in the first place, they would never have the idea that facial identity is important. You can get them to learn what are fake news and what are not. But they will not know that fake news is a problem in the first place.

You see, the value of humans is that we are able to keep thinking out of the box and improve our productivity along the way. We are also creative in the field of arts and music. These are things that I think AI are not capable of. I view AI/Robots as useful tools. Imagine if AI/Robots are able to help us with very rapid prototyping. Our jobs will literally be just dreaming. As we think of an idea, a prototype is already being built and we can immediately see if it works or not. So much time and effort would have been saved!

Personally, I am looking forward to the day which I can just lounge around and dream of ideas while I let AI take care of the menial task of prototyping/testing them. :)

I would say that a college diploma carries less value now than it did 20 years ago.  Here are my main reasons why:

First, we have to understand what a diploma means with respect to the real world.  A university that issues a diploma to one of their graduating students is claiming that the student has completed a course of study, and that the university is satisfied with the student's competence in a certain field.  Unfortunately, that competence is largely rooted in knowledge, and the diploma says nothing about the graduate's ability to think creatively or critically, or even if they could function in a real-world working environment.

Second, the cost of higher education has risen significantly (at least in America) since the 1980s, and student debt has ballooned to alarming levels.  At the same time, the wage advantage that college graduates are expected to enjoy over non-graduates, has failed to keep pace.  Add in the fact that employers have placed more emphasis on skills and relevant experience within this time frame, and it becomes more and more difficult to justify the financial costs of attending college and getting a degree, especially if that degree takes longer than the traditionally expected 4 years to complete.  The increasing number of stories of college graduates who could only find menial jobs doesn't help the diploma's image either.

Third, advances in technology (and in particular the Internet) have brought about alternative (and in many cases, cheaper) means for people to acquire/learn relevant skills that are valued by employers in the modern-day workplace.  Online classes, Youtube tutorials, and other Internet-based instructional materials are for many people, far more accessible than having to physically show up to a college campus for the purpose of learning and gaining knowledge.

Because of all this, I maintain that a college diploma is worth less now than 20 years ago.  I will even go one step further and say that if colleges don't revolutionize by finding ways to cut tuition rates (simply freezing rates will not be sufficient) and be more accessible to the general public, then I believe there will come a point within this century, when diplomas become completely worthless.

I'd say yes, it does.

Although more and more people these days have a college diploma, the actual value (usefulness) of the diploma didn't decrease, but instead the amount of competition on the same playing field have increased. This of course means that you can't rely solely on a diploma to get the job like before, but now you should also have other skills that set you apart (often personality based or experience).

Thus, if you do not have the diploma, you would most likely not even be considered. The bar has been raised and companies these days get to pick individuals with the skill set they require and more.

Yes, I believe so. I think it's more important than ever to get an education if you want to get a good job.

I think it's worth it in some ways if it guides you somewhat on the things your interested to in knowing more about. There are some courses that is really difficult to learn by ourselves if we were to learn it by yourself. By studying a diploma course, we can get a head start. But of course we have to take note that by the time, we finish studying a course, it may be somewhat outdated, so it is good to learn more. It is good however that we get to meet people who have the same interest. It is not useful if we did not have that cash to study a course and then we borrowed a loan from the bank to study. It is good to gain some experience too.

No, I don't think one is more important than the other. In fact, in order for Musing.io to be the top Q&A platform it must provide both: good questions and good answers. Otherwise, it could potentially alienate one half of its potential user base.

In order for Musing.io to be the top Q&A platform, there are two things that it must be able to do equally well: provide quality answers to the people who need them, and to ask intelligent questions that it's users will need to provide quality answer. Prioritizing one (either questions or answers) will just prioritize one group, while alienating the other.

Let's consider Quora, for example. I discovered that platform years ago, not because I was looking for good questions, but because I already had a question in mind that needed an answer. So, I did a Google search and one of the results was a Quora page. I clicked the link, which was a good thing because it actually had a very good answer in it. After that, I have been  using Quora's search function to look for answers to my questions. You see, I don't answer questions in Quora. I'm simply a reader, so, for me, it was the answer that mattered.

However, consider the flipside, the person who wrote the answer that I found. He or she wouldn't have been able to write that answer, if the question wasn't asked, in the first place. So, for him or her, it was the question that was more important.

In this sense, saying one is more important than the other will just alienate either the people who are looking for good answers or those who need good questions they can answer.

So, for Musing.io to be the top Q&A platform, it cannot consider one more important the other. Instead, good answers and good questions must be seen as two sides of the same coin, which Musing.io need to be on top.

Absolutely, without good questions we cant get good answers! I think good answers are based on research and personal experience and opinion and answers which cant simply be given by cutting and pasting from wikipedia!

To get these good answers though, we need to have good questions. Questions like 'what is steem' are simply invites to give the factual response However, if people were to ask, 'how do allow yourself to grieve after a bereavement' for example, then we can learn a lot from the response which would be more personal and combined with  common knowledge.

This way we can share and learn together in cooperation with each of us helping the others and this in turn in a small way makes the world a slightly more peaceful place!

Good question by the way lol ;-)

Good questions with good answers is what makes this

platform wonderful so both good questions and answers are reallt necessary if we really want this

platform to grow,if there are no good questions then

there will be no good answers so that is why questions and answers on this platform needs to be meaningul ao

that it will make this platform to be a very great platform...

Partly true!

Anyone can ask questions but answering with one’s thinking is more valuable and different views gives more value

Of course! You can't give an eye-catching or useful reply to a silly or irrelevant question.

I don't want to pay for votes, but, if I want to get my articles resteemed so more people see them, what are different methods you have used to achieve this?

See what I'm getting at? I don't want a bunch of fake bot accounts voting me up, I just want to get my articles in front of more eyes so I can get more legit upvotes from people that actually take the time to read my articles.

The best way to get your article in front of real people who can give you legitimate upvotes is to promote it organically.

What do I mean by promoting it organically? This means getting real users to resteem your article, not because they will get something out of it like a payment or a prize, but because they see the value that your article can give them and their followers. That's why paying for bots  and resteems don't work.

So, how can you promote your article organically? Here are a few suggestions.

First, joining a community. One of the best ways to get your article resteemed and read by real people is by being active in a community. When I was just new in Steemit, I have been fortunate to find the Freewrite Community, where members write a short post based on the day's writing prompt. Because it was such a giving and active community, it's members really read each other's freewrite posts, made comments, and upvoted the ones they like. Some even actively resteemed each other's posts if they are impressed by it and there was a community effort to create a digest that featured the favorites of the week. The result is I found real people who engaged and interacted with me. Every upvote I got from its members were genuine, which helped boost my confidence and helped my writing.

There are several communities like this, which you could join in Steemit. It's just a matter of finding one and actively engaging it's members. Of course, you have to be genuine when you join a community, too. If you're not really interested in being a part of that community and just want to get upvotes, then this might not be the best way for you.

Second, you can try promoting your post in the many Discord Channels in Steemit. Almost every Discord Channel here in Steemit has a post promotion channel. So, look for an active Discord Channel and promote your post there. Just remember to read the posting guidelines and other rules to make sure you're not violating them, because that could get you kicked out.

Third, is to get your content noticed by curators. There are a lot of curators and curation initiatives in Steemit like Curie, to Asapers, and the LoveBug. If you could get your content in front of the people curating for them, you could be considered for an upvote or feature. I don't know how to do this with Curie, but Asapers has a post promotion channel in their Discord, which they use to look for posts to feature.

Of course, it's important to remember that all your promotion will not matter if you don't have quality content. So, assuming you write quality content, a little promotion should help you get the upvotes you've been looking for.

The best way to achieve this by doing some contests and putting a condition to resteem your post.  I have done this earlier by starting the Caption contest here, which got very popular and ran for almost six months.

You can just have some good prizes, and I am sure, that will drive your posts crazy resteemed.

The best way to get more eyeballs on your articles is to comment on other articles.

There are a few ways to do this successfully, but one of the best ways (through my experience) is to search for fresh posts and be among the first to comment on them.

Make a friendly comment on these new posts, and other readers as well as the author itself will sometimes click your name and go read and vote on your post.

Worked for me, and I made 3300 SP organically in less than one year, so I guess that proves it.

Cheers

Is quantum computing a real threat to cryptocurrency?

Can the current encryption algorithms be broken with quantum computers? Will this be a danger to cryptocurrency?

The answer irrelevant of how long it might take is yes. One key reasoning is from Forbes who says; “At a major crypto event at University of California Santa Barbara this week, Martinis talked about why it could take a decade or more to build a quantum computer. “This is really, really hard, way harder than building a classical computer,” he said.

He went on to explain to the packed room at Crypto 2017, a four-day conference sponsored by the International Association for Cryptographic Research, that the main reason building a quantum computer is so tough is because qubits (quantum bits), the counterpart of bits in classical computers, are unstable. And that creates extra work for physicists trying to solve the problem.”

Article link: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/amycastor/2017/08/25/why-quantum-computings-threat-to-bitcoin-and-blockchain-is-a-long-way-off/amp/

# Big picture

No matter what he said on the time needed to build these computers, one thing is clear. After the 10 years or so it will take to build, it can be destructive to a crypto currency. Remember that having 51% of the network hash, means that you are in control on the network. With these computers, the network can be overrun for malicious attempt, and once reaching 51% can be exposed badly. So no matter if it’s in a year, a decade or a century, there will be a time in the future when quantum computing can overrun crypto currencies.

I don't mean doing a 51% attack with a quantum computer rather use it to hack the encryption algorithm.

Well, actually your questions are being broken down into several somewhat relevant but not really wholly-related questions.

For the first question, no, quantum computing is not a real threat to cryptocurrency for the simple fact of the electricity cost.

Currently, in order be a real threat to cryptocurrency, one would need to accomplish the attack known as '51% attack'. Literally, from the coined term, we could know that the attacker need to control the simple majority (>50%) in order to launch an effective attack with interfere with the underlying blockchain. They can theoretically monopolize the creation of new blocks, which allow them to exploit the vulnerability of double-spending. But fortunately, this would need a large amount of computing power as well as electricity.

While quantum computer could possibly attain high computing power, and hence pose threats towards cryptocurrency. Let's not forget that quantum computer is made from specialized design consisting of superconductors (They need to be cooled to a outrageous level of -273°C, to function properly!). This would use a lot of electricity, hence render this threat currently impossible, at least from a technical perspective.

For the rest of the questions, they are more about the computational ability of the quantum computers, which the answer would be simply yes! But still, we still got a long way to go, and currently the biggest threat for cryptocurrency would be scalability. This deserves more attention, IMO.

I don't mean doing a 51% attack with a quantum computer rather use it to hack the encryption algorithm.

Yes, Quantum Computing might be a real threat to Blockchain as well as to Cryptocurrencies, according to MIT Technology. They said : "....this kind of computing can hack the cryptography hash that universally secures the Blockchain...."

My opinion is that the people who are aware that it's a scam/ponzi and still tricking other people into joining, are the worst. The people who are just naïve and believe that they will make money are not really bad people per se, they just lack the experience or insight to realize that they are being fooled. The people who organize this stuff is by far worse people.

Trevon James is one of those guys. And he has gotten a lot of money using Steem.

If the person is truly a friend, I would give my advice about the investment and simply decline the request. A friend would understand

Yeah... they should know it.

Call the police

Get them thrown into jail

Laugh at the mugshots 😾

Hahaha... I wish I can!!! Sometimes, they are just too annoying!!

These sort of things to me are pretty much friendship breakers in the person keeps pushing them, I would just gently say no and ask him to stop but if he keeps on going and escalating, I would give a warning to never bring up the topic again because it could damage our friendship and if he tries again, he clearly cares more about earning profits from his scam than your friendship so its pretty obvious what that next step would be!

That’s true... I had a few friends and relatives that I kept a distance from them now.

Sadly enough I had also a few encounters with friends approaching me with MLM. They are trying to convince you with a short coffee or something just to present their concept and their beliefs. I think you have to have a strong mind and personality to just say no. Personally I wouldn't want to have to get involved into a discussion. Just be friendly and polite - do not try to change them, because you will only run on ice with this.

Yeah... that’s true. Strong mind is important.

It s not a joke coin ! I often used it for transaction insead of Bitcoin because its very fast and has a low transaction fee. It s accepted by a lot of exchanges and services.

In my opinion Dogecoin is undervalued.

I still consider it a joke coin. I just don't see the benefit of it compared to some of the other coins out there.

CPU and Bandwidth on the EOS blockchain is a bit complicated, but I'll do my best to explain it. Basically each transaction needs to use resources to process, and these resources are CPU measured in microseconds, RAM measured in bytes, and bandwidth that is also measured in bytes.

By staking your EOS into either CPU or Bandwidth, you get your share of these resources, which can then be used to make transactions. Each transaction will cost you a little bit of CPU and Bandwidth, but they both regenerate over a period, so most users that just sends a few transactions most likely won't need to worry too much about them at all.

So to summarize; CPU is a resource that is used to send transactions, and you pay a little bit each time.

I travel a fair bit, and in my experience I would say the best way to reset your biological clock, is to follow your usual routine from before your travels.

If you arrive in the morning or afternoon, back on home turf, don't go home and take a nap because you feel drained or sleepy at the time. Try rather to stick it out and go to bed at a time you usually would, and sleep for the same amount of hours as per norm. If you arrive at night and you slept on the plane, try to go to sleep even if you don't feel like it at the time.

If you continue the habit of going to bed at odd times or getting too much, or too little sleep, it might take you a considerable amount of time to get back into your normal routine. Best to avoid this from the very start!

Everything should feel just as it was after a day or two. It might take a bit longer if the time difference was between countries was significant though.

I hope this will be as useful to you, as it has been to me.

This is a Major theme! The best/ideal route is to oversee them together and concede to how to do that. It seldom happens that way.

I've seen couples work with each conceivable design. Cash together or partitioned. Bill cash split between. One individual pays for contract, alternate utilities. One individual gives the other a recompense. Without any end in sight. I wager each couple I've ever worked with does it exceptionally!

I would say, cash speaks to various things to various individuals. To deal with how to deal with cash, you have to begin there. For instance, a spouse gets on edge at whatever point the husband begins purchasing bunches of stuff. She most likely takes a gander at cash as wellbeing and security. On the off chance that her significant other needs her to feel sheltered and secure, he needs to regard that.

By a similar token, if a spouse takes a gander at cash as a way to have a ton of fun and experience and that is an essential incentive to him, a wife needs to likewise regard that.

Both of these states of mind can be taken to the outrageous thus, as in such a significant number of things seeing someone, an adjust must be made. Concession to the low adjust of the record, concurrence on the sum to go in funds, concession to amusement spending plan. These can be hot catch subjects, yet essential discussions.

I find that when one individual handles all the money related issues, it enables the other individual to be in a touch of dissent about the genuine reality of the circumstance. That is bad. The two individuals should be associated with at any rate Recognizing what the circumstance is and settling on choices around.

Above all most likely, as I would see it, is making an assention in which neither gathering feels angry nor exploited. This is less demanding said than done.

In conclusion, I'll say that monetary unfaithfulness has been the finish of numerous connections. Try not to be untrustworthy while dealing with your relationship accounts!

Since it is called an household, it means both partners are involve. Just like company, where permission will have to be granted before funds are used to execute projects, whenever any of the partner needs money, they need to seek each other permission and what its gonna be used for. So it is a collective management by both the man and the woman

This is a very tough question, but I'm answering based on experience. For me it should be both - a teamwork.

Currently, I'm the bread winner for the family and my wife manages the finances. For our case, I work as a software development engineer and my wife is as a full-time housewife - she takes care of our children and manage the house which is already a tough job.

Honestly, work is already mentally draining and I won't be able to handle our family's finances. As such, our current setup is I provide (earn or put the money in) and my wife handles majority of what goes out. I just take a portion of it as my allowance for me to be able to come to work and eat.

in my opinion, mothers are better suited to managing finances.

The role of women in the family is so numerous, ranging from taking care of the husband, children, to household needs. Not to mention, if the mother works, besides having to be smart to divide the time, the mother must be smart in managing the finances in her household. This is why giving financial education to women is very important.

Nini Sumohandoyo, Corporate Communications & Sharia Director Prudential Indonesia explained, one of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs implemented in 2017 by Prudential is financial literacy programs (knowledge or ability to manage finances).

Starting from, financial literacy for children to women. Then, giving two apheresis machines to hospitals in Makassar and Bandung, and also partnering with the University of Indonesia in opening the S1 Actuarial program. All CSR activities are part of the Prudential 2017 financial performance report, Jakarta, Thursday (04/04/2018).

In carrying out one of the CSRs, he collaborates with the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Social Affairs, and Ministry of Trade. The women who are members of SMEs are gathered in a meeting to be given a briefing on the economy.

Nini explained how important it is to teach women how important it is to manage finances in the household. Mother can distinguish between needs and desires. Because, according to him these two things become problems in everyday life.

"We teach in a basic way, the difference between needs and wants. For example, what is needed is to eat. If you want to eat, you want to buy clothes. So the management of the money is right," Nini added.

Not only that, calculating expenses and income is one of the important things. This is the most basic thing in the financial flow in the household.

"Then, simply calculate the daily income and expenses. We teach mothers not only about insurance. Who already has an account in the bank but they save money at home. They are afraid of going to the bank," he explained.

To learn insurance, housewives are taught about the importance of having life insurance. very important to protect yourself and your beloved family members.

"If there are calamities such as earthquakes, for example family members die but their children are still small if they don't have insurance, it will be a hassle. On the contrary, if you have child insurance, it will be safe because it has been covered, "he concluded

Thanks @mukhtaruddin01

Neither. Both should just burn their money in the casino 😺

I do not believe that financial management in a home should be by gender, but rather by several criteria,

* Capability

In some homes the man is more financially capable, you can't say because he works and she doesn't, the wife should be in charge. That decision will ruin them.

* Dependability

Between the man and woman, who is more dependable, I'd the woman is then she should be in charge but if the man is he should be in charge.

* Want/Choice

There are some people that generally do not like to be in charge of finances, and handing them that responsibility is bad for the house.

Those are some points, what I'm trying to say basically is that no two couple are the same and I think it is best to decide between themselves who to be in charge. That way no one would blame anybody whatever the outcome may be.

Indeed, totally.

Just in extraordinary cases, similar to psychological warfare or mass/serial homicides, additionally grabbing and torment ought to be on the rundown.

The culprit should likewise be discovered obviously blameworthy. Indeed, even the smallest trace of uncertainty and they ought to get a jail sentence. This would take into account a speedy execution for the sentence and never again will the convict hold up 15 years before the day comes.

A few people are basically tumor to society, they can never be restored, they can never carry on with a typical life, what they just know is savagery or potentially contempt. We have a few alternatives:

Give them little sentences in rich detainment facilities trusting that they will some way or another create fundamental human characteristics like sympathy

Keep them in jail for whatever is left of their lives out of some ethical impediments and subsequently burning through a large number of government cash which can generally go some place helpful

Simply dispose of them

Call me indecent yet I pick alternative 3.

Here are some immaculate cases:

Anders Breivik - murdered 77, for the most part youngsters, harmed more than 300. No inquiries concerning it, he did it. Where is he now? In an agreeable Norwegian hote… jail suing the nation for not enabling him to have the most recent PlayStation. There are even individuals here on quora recommending this is reasonable treatment (Truly , WTF?). He ought to have been condemned on the day and shot, no taxpaying cash go to nourishing beasts, no complaints, society shows how it treats subhuman waste like him.

Osama Canister Loaded - I know he is dead, however suppose he was caught and taken to the USA. By what method can anybody genuinely say he doesn't merit demise? Possibly some will state he has the right to endure in excess of a speedy demise and I would concur so why not give him a moderate passing as opposed to bolstering him with citizen cash for as long as he can remember?

These are my conditions for the presence of a capital punishment. What the USA has is awful as I would like to think and evacuating it totally is presumably the preferable alternative over keeping it.

The answer to this question is no,I don't believe in capital punishment..

I don't accept when someones life is being taken because of a crime he committed.

There are other punishment that can be use for crime without the needs to kill the person irrespective of the crime committed.

There are many countries that practice capital punishment especially countries in Asia, middle East and USA..

The highest crime someone can commit is murder that is to take someones life, and I think in my own view that such person should be sentenced to life imprisonment with hard labor, let him pay for his crime there in prison than for him to be sentenced to death.

But in countries like China, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam and other Asia countries, drug trafficking, rapes, blasphemy, stealing are punishable by death.

My conclusion is,human being does not have the right to take someones life no matter what, even the government does not have the right to end someones life only God.

There are other punishment that can substitute for capital punishment.

Yes, there is a case for capital punishment

Much as we would like to believe that all evil-doers can be rehabilitated, some are just predisposed to commit atrocities without any sense of remorse. The death sentence is the most effective way to weed out hardcore evildoers who are beyond rehabilitation. It also acts as a strong deterrent against would-be offenders

The most interesting building I've ever seen has got to be the Sagrada Família Church in Barcelona. An unfinished masterpiece designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, the church is already 136 years in the making today. Groundbreaking began in 1882, and it not expected to be finished until 2026, 100 years after Gaudi's death.

One of the most polarizing architectural buildings in the world, it has been described as "greatest piece of creative architecture" and a "marvel of technical perfection", on one hand, while also being called "one of the most hideous buildings in the world" and "one of the strangest-looking serious buildings in the world" by critics.

What I find interesting about the building is its uniqueness. Classified as gothic architecture, it has a unique design compared to all the Roman Catholic churches I've seen. The whimsical, organic, and almost alive character of the building is not something you will find on other churches.

I've never been to a structure that has evoked so many emotions from me, as well. Being there made me feel a combination of awe, confusion, marvel, and at times, a little bit unsure over some of the pieces I was seeing.

Another interesting aspect of the building is the symbolism behind every little detail of the construction. From the positioning of the different facades to the decision to use strange-looking sculptures, and the number of spires to be built. Touring the site was like getting a quick lesson on the tenets of Catholicism, too.

I would love to go back to Barcelona and visit the Sagrada Família Church, again. It's not only one of the most interesting buildings I've ever seen, being there was also an amazing experience that I would repeat in a heartbeat.

The most impressive museum for me is the Smithsonian National Air and Space Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center Museum outside Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States.

This building is an addition to the actual National Air and Space Museum in the city. But because the collections of aircraft have not fit inside the original building, then a hangar was built which could accommodate various historic aircraft.

Airplanes displayed include:

- Enola Gay, Boeing B-29 Superfortress bombers that dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima at the end of the Second World War;

- Space Shuttle Discovery, which runs more space missions than any other space shuttle, and which also carries the Hubble space telescope;

- Lockheed SR-71 supersonic surveillance aircraft, nicknamed "Blackbird", which was often used by the United States Air Force during the Cold War;

- Supersonic Concorde aircraft former Air France airline that used to run transatlantic flights between continental Europe and North America.

- Various types of Japanese and German warplanes are relics of the Second World War which are the last aircraft of their kind;

- The Dassault Falcon 20 jet aircraft used by FedEx's courier company for its inaugural flight;

- Gossamer Albatross, a human-powered airplane that successfully crossed the English Channel in 1979;

I love this.

Probably This! Emoji Checkers and Emoji Chess. I've also seen people playing Tic-Tac-Toes on Messenger as that is more easy to compose. I'm just really amazed on the effort being put into creating the board, the effort of copy-edit-pasting every single time when making a move. :)

It's mostly because of one's capability to pay back the money in time.

Not everyone has enough money to lend out. Some saves a part of their savings for emergency purposes. We dont know what will happen in the days to come. One could get into serious trouble, an accident or might need the money for something totally unexpected and that is why peoplr are reluctant to lend out money to the poor because they might not pay in time.

There is also the issue of what will he use it for. I am not generalizing everyone, but some borrow money just to satisfy their addiction whether it be drugs, gambling or even women.

Sometimes when you lend money, obviously you are a borrower, but you must know because some people are afraid to lend some money to the poor, they are afraid that the person will not be able to pay the money back. The borrowed person sees you begging for the money to be returned, in our daily lives, of course we often see this in the community.

Many poor people are hard to believe by some people

whenever they want to borrow money simply because many of them do doubt them especially those that

have borrowed them money before and they refused to pay,and some just have this natural doubt that the poor

person might not be able to pay back the money he or she is demanding from a person...

According to my experience I might want to scribble down couple of essential things that you can do to build up yourself as an incredible visual creator.

(following focuses are being conveyed with the thought that you effectively possess a PC with great Smash and not too bad realistic card, you have essential information of hues and structures, you have realistic planning programming and you are not a robot)

Here they are…

Learn and exceed expectations the nuts and bolts charges, instruments, application, augmentations, properties as well as characteristics of the product you are utilizing.

After the Nuts and bolts endeavor to hit the propelled level by investigating every last device on you programming. I am not sure if I understood your question correctly. Are you asking what is the risk of having too much faith on cryptocurrencies and therefore sinking too much money into it? If that is the question, do allow me to provide my humble opinion.

First of all, it is important to recognize any form of investment/asset comes with its risks. Although economics textbooks like to consider government treasuries as "risk-free" assets, there is really no such thing as zero risk. We have seen the Greek government defaulting and it can technically happen to any other governments.

Coming back to the topic, is it too risky to be heavily involved in cryptocurrencies. My opinion now is, yes. The main reason is that it cryptocurrencies are still highly speculative. Furthermore, there are too many of them out there. Hence, it is very difficult to predict which one will hit mass adoption in the years to come.

Personally, I invest in cryptocurrencies with a sum of money which I can afford to lose. I am treating it as a hedge against risk on fiat currencies. Not that I think fiat will collapse suddenly overnight, but the risk is there. Just take a look at what happened to the Venezuelan Bolivar and, more recently, the Turkish Lira. To sum it up, like any asset, cryptocurrencies come with its own risk. At this formative stage, the risk is higher than most other traditional assets. But over time, as the technology progresses and adoption rises, they will be seen as safer assets. Therefore, at this stage, invest with only what you afford to lose and you will do fine :)

Your level or amount of steem power determine the influence of the person on the platform and which will trigger the increase of followers and make more friends and which will rank the person as highly influential

I don't think it is actually. I know sometimes the more you post, the more steem you get through votes and thus more SP. The more you post the more your ranking goes up, thus also sp naturally because people are viewing your content.

It's really not.

I assume by ranking you mean 'Reputation'.  You can buy all the Steem Power you want by purchasing Steem on an exchange and then sending it to yourself and powering up.  Reputation on the other hand you can only get through upvotes.  The higher the accounts upvoting you, the higher your reputation gets.  This however, doesn't mean much since being upvoted by bitbots, etc will also increase your reputation... so rep is no guarantee of popularity or quality work.

What would happen theoretically if you have a lot of steempower and then upvote your own posts and comments?

That's completely fine... apparently if you upvoted your own posts 10 times a day (the maximum that would allow you to regenerate your Voting Power to 100% for the next day) then you'll double your account within 180 days (6 months).

The drawback is that there are some accounts on Steemit that take offense to exactly this activity and will flag people who do it 'too much'... but lots and lots of people do it.

In my closet I have two giant shoe boxes full of handwritten notes. They were given to me by members of the opposite sex while I attended High School and College. There's nothing more exciting then receiving a beautifully handwritten note from a girl that you've been dreaming about getting to know.

I feel bad for kids nowadays. They don't get to experience the same level of personal intimacy that we,  the babyboomers and gen-xrs did.   A text message is meaningless.  It has no heart.

The handwritten note though,  with flowers and hearts all over it,  those had so much power.   Personality.  Beauty.

They were real love letters,   and one day love letters will be a thing of the past.

It's sad when you think about it.

Not even slightly.

I literally just got back from the doctors where I had to fill out a ton of different forms and it felt so archaic and annoying... especially when I had to repeat information on the different forms.  It was so slow and arduous and really seemed quite pointless too.  I honestly can't wait until I can just scan a card or something to give these people the information they need.

I do understand your question though, and I will admit that receiving a handwritten card or note is still very special.. even more special than a stack of e-mails from someone... but I honestly don't miss it at all.

No, i like to search on notes and on digital texts. However I still like to draw draft of ideas on paper because of the better feedback and speed

An elephant. Cute little elephants!

It depends what era you compare to.

If you think of ICOs as a world which is only 9 years old, then we are merely just past the dotcom crash now. Yet, the ICO world is even not 9 years old.

Additionally, what do you call success here? Amount of raised capital or actually dApps which achieve longevity.

Lastly, what is the table of comparison since many a startup receives pre-seed, or angel funding, but never manages to close an A-round and are never reported either.

Currently funds raised from ICOs are close to achieve parity with funds raised from more traditional VC, but the ICO graveyard is rather full already as well. Beginning this year Bitcoin news reported that almost half of the ICO raised in 2017 had folded already, or gone MIA, by the end of the year[1].

Generally, one can say that ICOs will achieve a similar success rate as startups: 1 every 15/16 will succeed and achieve scale sufficient to continue, and “succeed”. That compares to “success” rates of large startup fund programs such as TechStars and 500Startups. That even though nowadays “lean” is fully

But there are more inherent problems with BC technology, problems which we can not necessarily relate to yet and are as such an unknown quantity.

DApps can often follow the book of the lean methodology, but the more “waterfall style” blockchain at the core has an own governance, governance which may make decisions which can affect the evolution and possible success of dApps. Pivots may also be much more difficult in a world of ICOs, especially if at some point regulatory frameworks are created and a WhitePaper becomes possibly a rule book (for SEC).

TL;DR: Just like in this online tech Millenium, expect many fails. And almost as many flukes. But the amount of capital raised by projects will soon be baffling, much more baffling than Sandhill Road throwing money round. EOS’ ICO is a perfect example of that with a multiple billion valuation already even before actual release.

[1] https://news.bitcoin.com/46-last-years-icos-failed-already/

Until last year the success rate of ICOs were good but this year bad.

I think one of iota's best use use is what ripple was originally designed for: bank to bank transfers. The tangle is quicker, cheaper, and quantum resistant. Also, it is a deflationary currency, which makes it an amazing storer of value

Preventing people from asking a question that has already been asked is pretty difficult actually. The best option I can think of right now would be to incentivize people to post something like "This question has already been answered at URL", and then have a moderator merge the two questions. Or something like that. I cannot think of a solution that would not require a lot of manual labor from either the users or the moderators.

I don’t see this as a major problem. Yes, musers should do their part and search for similar questions before asking. But some questions do deserve a second asking, especially when there aren’t enough or satisfactory answers given before.

I used Quora a lot and had seen repetitive questions being asked. However, as the topic interests me, I don’t mind reading new answers to it. You will always find better answers given in a different perspective. I find that beneficial for the platform.

Instead, I would suggest musers not to post too many questions a day, in the hope of earning upvotes. Some questions that I came across are really unworthy for this platform. A simple 1 minute search on google is enough to get the answer, but yet they prefer to ask it here. What a waste of our time and resource.

Probably nothing, apart improve the categories and the search experience

One thing I could think of is to add a "relevant questions" list below or side the main question. This will let users and musing curators know that the question was already asked before.

They could further improve this one to, letting musing curators or moderators hide repeated questions visually or through UI.

Pegasus. A mythical horse with wings. For thousands of years, the horse had been men's best friend in exploration. Without the horse, ancient civilisation would not be possible. Horses brought men further to the unknowns and new places were discovered. Horses were also instrumental in ancient wars, where stallions or calvaries are often the key to winning battles.

There are many animals in the world. But why are horses the only one chosen by men for 'travelling'? That is because horse is one of the most tameable animal and has a strong body and legs, with high endurance and speed.

And now, imagine a horse with wings. Wow! A horse that actually fly. Forget flying cars. A pegasus is all you need. It will be the only trusted personal mobility device you will ever need.

Fantastic answer! 100% agree!

1. Dragon

Naga is one of the popular mythical creatures that are often featured in folklore, fantasy films, or fiction novels. The creature is described as a large figure, has wings - some are without wings - and can fire. Usually in fiction, dragons are classified into two types, good and evil.

Evil dragons attack humans and cause damage, while good ones become 'protectors' and human companions.

2. Dwarf (Hobbits)

Recent research on the origins of humans finds a new theory which says that in Indonesia, human fossils are known as Hobbits. Hobbits are humans with larger legs and shorter bodies popularized in the 'Lord of the Ring' fantasy film.

3. Sea Monsters (Kraken)

Sea monsters with dozens of tentacles live on the ocean floor. Kraken is a mystical creature popular in the story of Hercules, Son of Zeus. Kraken is described as an octopus-like sea creature with a head that looks more like a monstrous monster and likes to prey on ships sailing in its territory, Greenland Sea.

The Kraken is also told as a sea monster that has a very long life, it can even reach thousands of years.

4. Giant Wolf (Direwolf)

The 'giant' wolf which is owned by the Stark family in the Game of Thrones movie, is not a mere fictional animal. Direwolf is a type of wolf that lives in North America and belongs to the Canis gene. This type is categorized as a very frightening animal.

5. Water and Land Monsters (Scylla and Charybdis)

Scylla and Charybdis were two monsters who lived in a narrow sea between Italy and Sicily. Legend says Odysseus had sailed across the Strait of Messina, and faced the two mystical creatures on the shore of the bay. Scylla is a monster that prey on its enemies on land, while Charybdis makes a whirlpool in the sea to sink the ship.

The unicorn. One of my most beloved films as a kid is The Last Unicorn. I remember it being a sad and poignant film, that I fell in love with unicorns, right away. So, if there was one mythical creature that I wanted to exist, it would be the unicorn. Also, given the chaos in today's world, why not have a creature that is the symbol of purity and grace, and whose horn could heal sickness, exist so, it could heal the world, even a bit.

Bad mood cannot be avoided, but don't let this mood damage the activities that are our obligation. Because if you have been exposed to bad mood, usually there will be a tremendous feeling of laziness and surely our days will be filled with irritation and unfavorable thoughts.

Think of a silly story.

Consider one annoying person and make a ridiculous character in your head. Imagine you are in a story, comics are outrageous, and then comes destruction! Immediately, you will see that it has formed a smile on your lips. In the end imagine yourself as "the protagonist" and the "hug" that causes optimism in the story.

Make notes.

Get used to your hands always interacting with a diary and describing each positive activity. Maybe you have some good moments on weekends or attending a good event. then you will soon realize that when you get used to this process, you will want to write in your calendar at happy times and this will make you feel good.

In order to get rid of  a bad mood you must first clear your mind.

Meditation is the key.

Turn on some relaxing music,  close your eyes,  and get into a comfortable position. Imagine a blank space and then fill it up with whatever image you prefer.

Focus on that image and do not let it sway from your mind. Stay focused on that image for as long as you can. 20 minutes is probably right around the correct amount of time.

As long as you stay focused on the image and do not let it roll around in your head,  you will begin to focus your mind. You can overcome any kind of bad mood by simply focusing.  It's all a state of mind.

Meditation is the key to freeing yourself from the traps of "mood" and "attitude".

This really depends on person-to-person but what I usually do when I'm in a very bad mood is just grab my phone, earphones and listen to pop rock music (because I love pop rock)

Immersing yourself in an activity shifts your attention and thinking into that activity making you temporarily forget whatever caused your mood. It allows you to cool off your head and think rationally.

We can make ourselves happy with the strategy SELF extracted from The Nine Rooms of Happiness: Loving Yourself, Finding Your Purpose and Getting Over Life's Imperfections, by Lucy Danziger and Catherine Birndorf, MD.

1. Filter yourself

It may be a childhood or your teenage years are so happy. Family warmth or various relationships or past events make you miss the past. If you need to go back to those times, because they tend not to like the current situation. This kind of desire naturally arises. Freud called it screen memories, namely that we tend to filter our lives through various memories in the past. Stop thinking of the past. Live for the present. Your life is now not the past, keep that in mind so you are happier.

2. Self reflection.

Read, see yourself deeper. Get to know what you are like now. Also ask the opinions of trusted people in your life, about yourself. What they think and feel, Self-reflection teaches you to follow intuition, and even sharpen it. Get to know yourself honestly. The key, take a positive message from yourself and from other people's opinions about you.

3. Dare to change

If you don't find happiness with the current relationship, or various things about your life, work or whatever. Make changes to yourself or the issue you want to change. If the issue concerns an unpleasant relationship, find a solution from yourself and the relationship. Make adjustments, increase tolerance, improve relationships or leave relationships if they feel more unhealthy. All you can do is change yourself and that relationship. That is, you cannot make other people (in the relationship) change according to your ways and desires. The key, happiness you will feel by making changes to yourself instead of changing others.

4. Building relationships, not uniting

You certainly often hear, the existence of you or someone else who is loved, is complementary. You are actually complete, intact as an individual. You don't need to be equipped by someone else. What happens is, you and others who are in a relationship, can be lovers, husbands, friends, tasked with building relationships. The goal is not to complement or unify differences. Like a circle, you and others are whole circles that meet and form venn diagrams. You and your husband, for example, do not unite two different individuals, but build relationships that are overlapping. Your character and partner can collide with each other, but find happiness from this difference by connecting. The key, you and others who build relationships need to patch each other, not complement or unite. Whatever problem you face, by applying this method, you will feel happier because you are able to accept the conditions and overcome them with positive energy from within.

5. Stop or reduce narcissism

Making yourself as the center of attention can be interpreted as negative and positive. Your perception of yourself is not always true. Overconfidence and pride in yourself does not make it easy for you to establish relationships with anyone. Also included if you are too hard on yourself. By feeling sorry for yourself, criticizing yourself or just seeing weaknesses in yourself. This negative self-focus emotion does not necessarily facilitate relationships with others. Immediately get out of the trap of excessive negative and positive narcissism, if you really want to feel happiness as an individual.

6. Make peace with yourself

Try to understand differences, conflicts or other inconveniences in various social and environmental relations. Make peace with yourself when facing problems, conflicts or difficult times. Tolerance is an attitude that can be learned. Practice this attitude and never let conflict or disagreement have a negative impact on you. Make yourself happy by tolerating the problem, accepting it as part of the life journey that you must experience. Try to keep you from becoming weak due to various problems.

There are a lot of thing that I am thinking that made me smile, or say I am truly blessed!

Family and our pets. Always and always whenever I think about them, it made me smile. My family is truly supportive of me in whatever I do and they always cheer on me, they give me strength.

Master. I am currently an apprentice of one of the best artist in the industry, whenever I think about how I became his apprentice and how lucky I am to be the chosen one, it always make me happy and motivate me to create great artworks as well!

Failure. Yes! you read it right, whenever I think about my failure it made me smile, why? because I learned from it. It's same as when you thought of your ex and then laugh at why do you even cry because of him, he's not even worth it. hahahah

Whenever i think about my business and how successful it has being for me then i become cheerful, another

good thing that cheers me up is whenever i think about

my sweet mother, she is so adorable, she is a caring woman and a loving mother, whenever i think about her i

will just smile and become cheerful even when i am not in a good mood...

There's actually two things that do that the best. A beautiful girl or/and a samoyed puppy. Those are perfect mood changers for me.

My daughter; thoughts of her always puts a smile on my face. Up until I had her the thoughts of when I would make lots of money and be financially independent did that for me, but now I find nothing beats the love of a parent.

Is it to late to invest into cryptocurrency and make any decent gains?

Is right now still a good time to invest into cryptocurrency? How big can the market become over time?

Yes, in my personal opinion it is not too late to invest in cryptocurrency now.

Of course the earlier you get in, the more gains you'll make. But there is still huge potential for the cryptocurrency market - the driving force is the revolutionary blockchain technology. The blockchain technology has not yet reached the stage of mass adoption. When it does, eventually, the market will be just explosive.

I wrote this in an earlier Steemit post (https://busy.org/@joeylim/how-do-we-react-to-new-technology):

If you had told the people back then
that the world's storehouse of information
can be accessed with a click of a finger
(just Google it!),
and that they can send free text messages
instantly received by another party
thousand of miles away
(Whatsapp/Telegram me okay!),
they might have laughed at you.

"Well, that's hard to imagine,"
they might chuckle, hiding an amused smile.

We are not any different.

Try telling someone, anyone,
about the blockchain.
Try telling them about Bitcoin and Ethereum -
and the technology's revolutionary power.
Try telling them instead of posting on Facebook/Instagram,
post on Steemit and they will be rewarded.

"Well, that's hard to imagine,"
they might chuckle, hiding an amused smile.

Are there any cryptocurrency hedgefunds where you can invest into?

Most traditional hedgefunds require you to be an accredited investor which means you have more than 1 million dollar to invest or an income more than 200 000 per year. Is this the same for cryptocurrency hedgefunds? How can someone who's not already rich invest into a crypto hedgefund?

For me my top 3 best movies of 2018 were:

1. Avengers: Infinity war by Marvel

2. Acrimony by Tyler Perry

3. Pacific Rim: uprising

So far, I like the ability to ask questions and get answers from those potentially with a similar mindset about Crypto. But mostly like how it can reward people who give great answers to difficult questions. It can bring those not interested in answering otherwise to help answer questions due to simply the vote that can come from it.

Dislikes: I am not sure there are dislikes yet, but potentially that some of the questions are not as great or important. And a way to screen them even more than hashtags, but I'm not sure if there is a solution there at all anyways!

Hope this helps!

I have learnt a lot from musing and it has exposed me to a lot of things I don't know before, I also like missing because of the earning and interaction with others. So far so good I don't have any dislike about musing but other who dislike musing is mainly because of the misconception they have about musing and you can read that on this link https://steemit.com/musing/@paparazy06/pkfrexgux.

Good question!

Hmm, I really wish to eat "Authentic Chinese noodles "of China. I never eaten Chinese noodles but I like to try it once. I will definitely visit China one day with my friends and it's my bug dream ti visit there. 🤗💚💙

I really enjoyed in writing this answer!

Thank you so much!

One dish that I've been wanting to try for a long time is the Japanese fish Fugu. It's a type of puffer fish that has become an exotic, and sometimes deadly, delicacy in Japan. Infamous for its high price and deadly toxins, it is a dish that can only be prepared by licensed chefs after years of training. The training is necessary to make sure that those who handle the fish know how to properly detoxify its toxins, so it's safe to be consumed.

People say the Fugu fish has a unique taste, but most try it for the thrill. So, it is one of the dishes that I will want to try, if I have the chance. Although, to be honest, I probably will not be sure I will eat it until I am already sitting at the table and served the dish. It's not something you could eat lightly, after all.

Was about to post this dish too! We had been to Japan more than 20 times but had never dared to try the Fugu fish.

I know what you mean. I've only been there once but didn't dare try it. Maybe next time I visit? It's a bucket list item for sure, but it makes you wonder if it's going to be the reason you kick the bucket! Lol!

Food can make everyone smile. The food I like but never ate is Lasagna , a famous Italian dish next to Pizza and I really wanna eat this.

Several years ago I would have said morel mushrooms. However, I found a supplier of them, obtained some, and discovered that they are every bit as good as they say.

I guess the next item on my list is huitlacoche, the corn fungus from Mexico. I have read about it and have seen it canned, but I would like to try some freshly prepared.

Where can I see how many total upvotes I have received?

As my understanding grows on how reputation and rewards work on the steemit blockchain, I'm wanting to learn new things each time I'm online. This is one of them. Thanks in advance!

Hi!

There are a lot of applications and programs that can help you answer this question... one of my favourites is https://mysteemitfriends.online

If you type in your Steem username and then click on Upvote Stats then you can see all the people that have ever voted for you, and how many times... you can also see who you voted for.

Using the different sections of MySteemitFriends you can also find out how much money you've been voted for, and all the interactions you've had with people.  I love this tool, I find it so handy!

This is a cool tool! Thanks! Now, how do I get a total for all my upvotes I wonder. Barring of course, manually adding them all up by hand. Is there a filter there I am not seeing?

Actually, you know what would be better for you... steemworld.org - in the general Stats (the default) there is total votes given and recieved. It's an absolutely awesome tool. I promise you'll love it.

Not all of them, reason why it is advised to use a different email not linking to your steem account in case of any data breach

Oh... I should do it from now on. Thanks for the advice.

I started out as a minnow and I think I got about 5% on crypto

That’s good enough for now. I’m only look for some very good ICO to invest and leave it there for now.

Personally i started out very small only got about 1-2% of my total net worth into crypto before the last bull run happened. That small percentage grew to more than half of my net worth. (thanks to some good investments) Now percentage wise it's back less but i don't adjust because i don't have much to lose since my initial investment is really small.

You should always not risk more than you are willing to lose in the worst case scenario. There is not a ratio you can use to determine how much to allocate into cryptocurrency. It's something personal. Personally i wouldn't put more than 20% of your total net worth into cryptocurrency at most and max 5-10% allocation to a certain cryptocurrency as a way of diversification. Never put all your eggs in one basket.  Long term most of the altcoins will fail along the way. Especially the small cap coin's with no working product. This is not different from most venture capital investing.  It's just a different asset class.

Thanks for the advices.. really appreciate it.

Currently about 0.01% of my investment portfolio is in cryptocurrencies.

It would be reasonable to have a higher mix as part of balanced investment strategy, but I am extremely bearish on the entire blockchain space.

That’s good.... it’s dropping like mad again today.

There are many lovely names you can give to your nephew...you can choose from any of the names which i suggested below...

1...josh

2....danny

3.....simon

4....mark

5......anthony

6......brian

7.....donald

Thank you... I will show it to my sister.

I am always in favor of planning things carefully well in advance. Because, in today's competitive world, if you do not plan early, you miss many opportunity. For example, if you plan to travel to a place, then you should book your flight / hotels at least 1/2 months before. Its better if you can even do it even more earlier. Because many prefer to plan early, thus availability reduces, as the day approaches. And that ultimately increases the price as well.

This whole world is a demand supply game. If demand is more, then that causes the price to increase. I have seen the flight ticket prices are much lesser, if you book them 4-5 months earlier, and they keeps on increasing as time progresses.

So its always good to plan ahead , but there are certain situations, which is not in your control, for which you cannot plan before. So we need to face them as they come with patience and try to do our best.

It depends on that certain thing...but most of the time i

love to carefully plan anything which i want to do

because i believe that having a good plan before doing anything usually makes that certain thing to become

successful for me after i successfully executed the

plan, but there are some things that i do that i just go

with the flow..e.g whenever i am trading cryptocurrencies i just go with the flow of what is

happening on the market and make my decisions based on that...

Depends. Usually I do plan a lot and I am into details and predicting situations from every angle getting prepared at the same time for almost anything. However not all of the time things work flawlessly so sometimes I do have to flow with what come out. I admit that I don't like going with the flow, but I also acknowledge the importance of sometimes going with the flow and letting spontaneity to solve what it comes and climb mountains. This way a lot of useless stress can be avoided. However, I think that the best recipe would be to mix both of them. Plan carefully and let the flow of events bring you the solutions for unexpected bumps on the road.

I prefer to carefully plan things. I am constantly thinking about the variables in any given situation, more of what could possibly go wrong, than what could possibly go right.  This is a tough thought process to change, but it is clearly the reason I like to plan ahead.

I don't think we often really learn from history.

Here's why we repeat history:

It is not the mere forgetfulness that drives us to repeat history, but the self-delusion that "this time, it would be different".

We may remember what happened in the past as a mere cognitive function, but may deliberately choose and will not to apply it in the current situation, pleading a different circumstance.

We are our worst enemies sometimes.

Because you humans are forgetful, that's why

I don't think we often really learn from history.

History is an activity that has happened in the past, if you mean life history maybe we should know it. For example history before there was clothes, maybe we should learn to make our own clothes from bark / animal skin.

And if you mean history falls in love and the ends are hurt maybe everyone won't want it to repeat.

I get the local news from our newspaper but often I get time only to read the headlines.

As for international news, I watch the BBC news on TV and in case I do not have time for it, I have downloaded a news app from where I get news updates. The news app was very useful to me during the flood we had recently in Kerala. Newspapers had stopped and there was no power for switching the TV. Also, our TV busted during a voltage fluctuation. We have to repair it now.

We live in a village and as you might be aware there are the village gossips who spread news, lol

Surprisingly, steemit posts and @gina notifications alerted me about news that were yet to be conveyed through apps or TV.

i do get news from different reliable sources which i really trust, and the platform where i get my news from

also depends on the kind of news i am looking for,if i am

looking for news about politics i do listen to CNN or BBC,if i am looking for news about business i will watch

bloomberg tv or check business blogs, and if i am looking for news about entertainment i will watch MTV base so

the kind of news i want to listen usually depends on what kind of news i want to hear about...

This might sound very unusual but I usually get my news on REDDIT and TWITTER.Yep! You read that one right, I get my news on social media platforms

Believe it or not, REDDIT is actually a very reliable source of information. People there are very updated and their posts are mostly backed by proofs. Reddit people also seems to be non-tolerant on spam and troll accounts so the quality have been high till now.

TWITTER's #hashtag system and easy live short status updates on the other hand are the best way to gather short collective information on an ongoing and recent situation. I remember back then when an earthquake and a huge storm struck our little province, it was easy to gather updates in real time situation because of Twitter.

NEWS platforms and even Newspaper might truly be the most reliable way of getting news information, but no one is gonna wait hours and even a day just for them to publish. Sometimes, the collective knowledge and information spread by people is enough for minor and a quick update.

Twitter and Steemit

Well anywhere can be informative, sometimes my sources of answers can spark with conversation I've had with friends, but naturally, I get my news from my social media platforms

First I should disclose this is not my country as I’m an (expat) immigrant here.

The trustworthiness of the political system in the Philippines is somewhere between 1 and 2, at best.

Cons

1. The obvious con to mention here is the current President, Rodrigo Duterte.

It is rumored that he was the main operator behind death squads in the town where he became mayor. While he has never publicly admitted such, at times even denied, he has provided the country with sufficient anecdotes to make him fearsome enough.. An example here would be the anecdote that he once told a police squad that if he had killed a person, they could do so too.

2. The country, while outlawed, is mostly governed by political dynasties. Family name is of utmost importance and can be an easy ticket to whether C-level or VP in the larger [strike]oligarchic[strike] corporations or even a political career.

Additionally, for leaders “pork barrel politics” are still rife. The previous president was known as the “Porkbarrel King” for how he often wielded the threat of withholding porkbarrel for representatives if laws weren’t passed.

3. Press freedom comes at a premium. Since Duterte, the leading online news outlet, Rappler, has been investigated by the local SEC and even lost its press accreditation within the Palace. Rappler is appealing.

The other outlet most critical of the regime of Duterte, the Inquirer, has since been purchased by a business contact of Duterte. Bloomberg published a great feature some months ago about the actual state of press freedom, or rather how Duterte works social media and the press[1].

In other words, impunity is at a high and only very little improvement, if any, has taken place since the Ampatuan Massacre[2]. In fact, Human Rights Watch mentioned that Duterte plunged the country in its worst human rights crisis since the rule of Ferdinand Marcos[3].

Are the Philippines Corrupt?

According t the Corruption Perception Index 2017 (CPI), the Philippines score 34 (rating from 1-100, with 100 highest), placing it below Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and even many African nations like Rwanda and the country is ranked 111th out of 180 nations listed.

[1] Bloomberg feature: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2017-12-07/how-rodrigo-duterte-turned-facebook-into-a-weapon-with-a-little-help-from-facebook

[2] Ampatuan Massacre: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maguindanao_massacre

[3]HRW 2018 report on Philippines: https://www.hrw.org/world-report/2018/country-chapters/philippines

I should say 2 out of 10.

Three cons:

1. Politicians don't have mutual respect.

2. Political Instability is ruing our development.

3. Our educated persons are not willing to join this nasty politics.

I will rank 6 out of 10.

I have ranked higher because our current ruling party has high hopes and people of Pakistan has show lot of trust on this party.

This party has defeated all the other party which were against them.

They have changed the concept of politics.

After a long struggle of almost   years they have came into power.

We have to see how they deliver and how they can implement their policies against the wills of all the other parties.

The answer is both. The Steem Power (SP) of the main account and the amount of SP delegated both increase with the interest.

When you delegate Steem Power to another user what you are actually delegating is the underlying VESTS (commonly referred to as MVests since the numbers are huge).

Interest is applied to all holdings of SP by a slow increase in the SP / MVests ratio.

So when you delegate SP the interest will accrue to your own holding of Steem Power but will also increase the amount of Steem Power delegated to other users. The underlying MVests (both your amount and the amount delegated) are unchanged.

You can see this by looking at the wallet page of a large account like freedom. The SP and delegated SP holdings increase a little each time you refresh.

However when the delegation is returned, the original amount of MVests is returned which will be equal to the amount of SP delegated plus the interest earned over the delegation period. So the delegated account will benefit from increasing SP over time while they have the delegation but will not retain the amount of interest accrued.

The amount of interest are small so generally it's not a consideration for most users.

[Note that this discussion is of the "interest" inherent in the Steem system, not any interest payments from users to whom you delegate the SP].

The word "Delegation" simply means entrusting someone something while still in total control of that something.

When you delegate Steem Power, the delegatee is treated as a proxy for the delegator by the blockchain. He gets most of the benefits that comes along with it(increase upvote worth and bandwidth). However, the delegator remains the OWNER and holds TOTAL control of that delegated SP and thus it makes sense that the interests are only for him, the owner, not the proxy.

It's worth to note though that the Delegated Steem Power still increases over time. If you delegated 1000SP, that will slowly increase depending on the interest rate of the OWNER of the SP. After a month, you might see that it's now at 1002SP. The increase 2SP still and will always be ownes by the delegator though.

Yes you do get interest from your steem power. Even if you had delegated those sp to someone else, you are the one earning the interests, and not the delegatee. To be more precise, it is your vests that is earning interest. With every block created on the blockchain, you earn a tiny bit of vests from your stakes.

I know this from my own experience. Months ago, I delegated 1250sp to some account. Today, I can go to my wallet or using any available tool, I can see that the delegated sp is now 1255.22sp. That’s an increase of 5.22sp over a few months.

Read more in the technical details from this awesome post by lukestokes https://steemit.com/steem/@lukestokes/if-you-hold-steem-power-you-re-earning-steem-automatically

You don't get interest from it. It's like giving money out that you know you can get back, whatsoever the person does with the money ain't your business but you can always get it back anytime. This means no interest to the person that delegates out. It is only the person that gets the delegation that can benefit more.

If you delegate Steem Power, it is no longer yours for as long as it stays with the person whom you've given. And so, you do not get interest on a delegated Steem Power. The person who gets the delegated Steem Power gets whatever interests or rewards from it.

Cheers

News is very important a factor since it can drive hype or cause fear. Because not many people have time to actually investigate, or truly understand what happens, the media - no matter whether traditional mainstream media or online media/blogs - are the relays.

Most outlets tend to have a position and that position can possibly bias their coverage.

If you read for example theGuardian, an otherwise decent investigate media unit, you will notice that they have a negative view on cryptocurrency and that influences how often they cover it, what they cover, and also the type of specialists they invite to write opinion pieces about it. Generally, theGuardian will mostly cause only FUD as a result.

At the same time, despite many media outlets covering the crypto market in the second half of last year and warning everyone, the vast amount of coverage actually caused the “tulip bubble” they warned for. Because of FOMO. At that point, the mainstream media (MSM) outlets warning for the risk of an unregulated market actually drove the hype all while they more often than not spewed FUD.

Imagine following scenarios:

1. Bloomberg, the Washington Post, and theGuardian tomorrow land an exclusive interview with Jamie Dimon (from JPMorgan Chase fame) who announces that they will investigate further on how to invest legally in cryptoes and are planning to soon expand their blockchain department. Yes, they have one and until recently it even was led by a woman.

Can you imagine what virality will be achieved by such exclusive news being reported by traditional respected media outlets. Watch that bull run!

2. Alternatively, what if the New York Times tomorrow publishes a report that the SEC is owing to introduce more frameworks and they will require more AML/KYC at ever lower levels, as well as identification of every ICO buyer. The next planned step after that is AML/KYC enforced on every trading platform which allows any conversion/cash out to fiat. Watch that nosedive!

In the end, what will drive the cryptoscene most are following elements:

1. Further adoption by regular, non-tech, users.

2. The introduction of more legal frameworks, i.e. more nations explicitly approving of cryptoes and providing structures within which to work

3. Eventually 2 will lead to “old money” flowing in the sector, a lot of which also coming from (hedge) fund managers who now need not fear anymore to not comply with their obligations, fiduciary duties. The accountants for the 1% will enter then. And so will Jamie Dimon and JPMorgan Chase.

In today's digital world, I would say news affect anything or everything. Because, the market is definitely driven by news, if its from trusted and established sources. Imagine, if SEC approves bitcoin ETF, then what will be the impact of it on bitcoin price !!! And there can be negative effect as well, from news, that hampers the reputation of bitcoin, e.g. North Korea comes and declares that it has many bitcoins which its going to sell !!!!!!!!!

And yes, there is something else than news, the actual facts, or truth behind the news. A fake news cannot stand for more time. So we cannot just publish that Facebook is going to buy 100000 btc, it need to happen in reality.

Basically when you buy a token ICO, you are buying a debt.. some business models that emerged are:

- SCAM. They have no value or utility. The issuer pumps it and sell it for real cryptocurrencies

- Token discount. The issuer will rebuy the token in the service when the product will be ready

- Dividends distributions to token stakeholders

- Governance. The more token you have the more you opinion counts in the project

- Hybrid. Of the points above

Chemically, our body supposedly releases a tryptamine molecule dubbed Dimethyltryptamine. Upon release it is suspected to take you into REM sleep, where most dreams occur.

Why we dream is still completely unknown and needs more extensive research done in the field.

Fascinating stuff...great question!

Before we sleep, our brain receives a lot of information from our daily activities. Our brains are filled with hundreds of thousands and even millions of information every day. Start simple things like the color of the car passing in front of us and the color of the clothes of our co-workers. This can also be a heavy matter such as conflict, problems, and workload in the office.

The brain functions to sort out all that information and decide what to save and what to forget. Some researchers think that this process is played through dreams. When we wake up, the brain works hard to provide connections so that our bodies function properly. What we face on that day will affect our sleep. For example, during the day we are faced with a difficult mathematical problem, the brain will be very focused on it.

We are very focused on one sad problem that day, the possibility of us dreaming it at night is huge. Also remember, that the brain not only functions so that the body functions properly connected, the brain also functions mental and feeling functions.

What new trends do you believe we will see in cryptocurrency?

First is was bitcoin. Then came altcoins and ico's. Now we have equity tokens. What do you believe will be the next trend in cryptocurrency? And how will this market evolve into the future?

I think the ICO s are over, the new trend is dApps with massive adoption. Mainly in gambling, games and social areas (as reputation proof).

I think the time where you could make a decent amount of crypto from faucets are long gone, but there are still a few around. Most of these don't really give you a lot of crypto though, so you are better off commenting, interacting or posting here on the Steem blockchain if you want to earn crypto.

Anyway, here are a few options for faucets that actually pays you, although it's not a lot:

- freebitco.in

- bitlucky.io

- fautsy.com

There are also hundreds of others out there, and I would suggest using a list like the one at https://bitlucky.io/list/BTC to find the ones that are a good fit for yourself. Some might require registration, watching ads etc, in order for the faucet owners to finance giving away the crypto.

I believe wealth is defined in many ways. In some cases the amount of money that classified someone as wealthy might not classify another. For instance, Mr A might have $500,000 and be classified as rich by some people also Mr B might also have $350000 and be classified as wealthy by another set people or even by himself.

from my own personal analysis of being wealthy,I will say the level of the stability of your financial inflow from your asset is what I can measure to consider you wealthy not the amount of money you have at hand. What if expenses arises and 80% of the money that is seen as bogus blows off. I personally don't go with the saying that the amount of money you have could classify wealth, rather I will say it as the amount of money you have that could classify riches.

Wealth is an innovation,an idea used in generating income. It is the idea that keeps money flowing. It is very possible to be rich in few days but the possibility of being wealthy within same period is not in anyway certain. Why because there are lots of unreliable schemes that can make one rich but not wealthy.

Being wealthy is that status of an individual’s existing financial resources that enables one to live conveniently even if he does not physically work to generate a recurring income.

We all have different opinion to matters. some believe that being wealthy was about enjoying life’s experiences and being able to afford what they want. Some measure their wealth with their income and expenditures.

Which ever way we believe, I will stress according to the question that the amount of money that individual may have to classify him as wealthy is the level of his income producing asset that generates his passive income.

For me, being wealthy is relative to your lifestyle. I'll have to refer to Robert Kiyosaki's definition of financial freedom to come up with a criteria to be considered wealthy.

First is financial freedom - if your passive income (e.g., cashflow that come from sources and that do not require your active participation and time like dividends from stocks) exceeds your expenses, then you're financially free.

Being wealthy for me is something beyond that - once your basic needs are covered and you have excess cash - you are able to do better things like give back to charity.

For example, me and my family's monthly expenses is close to $1,400. If my passive income, let's say my earnings from my delegations or curations, exceed $1,400 a month, then I consider myself financially free. Earnings beyond that is wealth for me.

A person who is wealthy, is someone who not only has abundance of money but also possessions.

That means someone that can afford to spend money without having to check his bank account.

Someone that lives a life of affluence is considered wealthy.

Creativity is subjective for some people because creativity is the ability to see things differently. Not many know that creativity actually makes a person better because it tends to produce something unique and can change our perspective.

On the other one hand, creativity makes it possible to see life from a different perspective so that it can help solve problems. There are several other reasons why we need creative thinking.

Creativity connects everything.

Creativity is the art of making connections and teaching us that everything in the universe is connected. In other words, creativity gathers ideas together and displays them in ways that have never existed before. One of them looks around and explores the world around, all that is seen and heard becomes interrelated so that it can create something truly new.

Creativity teaches us to count.

Through creativity, we learn that life is the calculation of effort and choice. This teaches that everything is important and no effort is wasted. Through creativity, we learn that you don't have to work 8 hours a day to create something new. By instilling a creative soul, doubts and fears can be easily removed.

Creativity makes us have stronger determination.

We learn to sacrifice and are determined to achieve life's goals through creativity. As a creative artist, you know what it's like to continue working even when there are no demands. You will continue to do it, not because of others, but from yourself. Creativity also teaches us to continue to spend time and effort.

Creativity makes us appreciate the process more.

Creativity also teaches us the importance of 'process' rather than 'results'. In other words, it makes us not result oriented; but the process. As content creators, or creative artists, we must not only focus on the end result of the work, but also on the quantity of growth and progress. Sometimes what we want is not as expected, and this is why we must concentrate on the process rather than the results.

Creativity makes you stronger and more flexible.

There are people who like what we make and some who don't like it. However, basically all humans want to be liked and admired for what is done, but as a creative artist, it is difficult to accept rejection or dislike your work. then this is where creative thinking is needed. Creativity teaches to be strong, strong and flexible. Creativity teaches us not to run away from criticism, but to be proud of failure because these two things can make you far more developed.

Creativity creates more positive thinking

According to research conducted in the past, there has been a strong relationship between creativity and a good mood. People tend to be more creative when they are happy because they can think broadly. Increased positive mood allows us to see more solutions.

Creativity gives a sense of freedom.

Talk creatively, nothing is wrong or true. By thinking creatively you will try new things and dare to take risks. So, creativity gives freedom in everything.

To think imaginatively, you should have wide and differed input and the capacity to process it. You require change and if change isn't coming to you, you need to make it.

Read broadly,

Have (or construct) a wide friend network and be available to contrasting perspectives - particularly ones totally contradicted to your own,

Endeavor to movement as much as you can. The Watchman completed an article on miniaturized scale travel that I thought was intriguing ( you can find it on ThinkFiend :- ))

Converse with kids - and truly tune in.

All things considered, truly tune in to all individuals when you converse with them - don't check your telephone while individuals are conversing with you.

Do things that you never figured you would do - this doesn't need to be sky plunging. Perhaps you can have a go at eating nourishment you've never enjoyed, attempt an activity class you figure you won't care for.

Go on strolls and watch, reflect and think

Endeavor to live with short of what you want to.

Usually people who are creative have excellent lateral thinking skills. Lateral thinking is the ability to solve problems in what seems like to most people to be an indirect way. By viewing a problem in an unusual way unrelated ideas can sometimes be connected in a unique relationship.
