1. Do something you like
Doing something that you like can reduce stress and distract you from things that make your mood worse. only you know what you really like and can make you happy; allow yourself to do it.
2. Meditate or do other spiritual practices (like praying).
Having a spiritual life does not necessarily make a person feel happier. Meditating or praying can rest your body and your soul is a moment from things that are happening around you, and gives you the opportunity to experience mental refreshment.
3. Read books or watch your favorite television shows.
Research shows that a person can feel happier when imagining "Being someone else" or "experiencing what other people feel" (both of which you can experience while reading a book or watching a favorite television program).
4. Look for pleasant distractions.
Some people claim to be happier after shopping, doing housework, or do other activities that can divert their minds from things that make their moods worse. While having fun, you also have the opportunity to distance yourself from the events that upset you.
