If I was the CEO of steemit, all that I would have power is what steemit is developing for the steem blockchain and the front end, steemit and the signup process.

Steemit doesn't completely control the STEEM blockchain. While they do most of the development right now, they aren't the entire thing. The witnesses are the ones who decide what changes to make on the blockchain.

Now if I did get that position, I would try and focus development on SMTs and the look and feel of the site, especially on mobile. With a large percentage of users in developing counties using the site on mobile, it should definitely be beneficial to the ecosystem to have a properly working mobile site. It sucks on mobile as of writing this(July 24, 2018). A mobile app officially released would be great as well.

SMTs would allow for new developments and communities on the steem blockchain. New businesses can come up with great things to do with their newly created tokens as well as help bring up the price of STEEM.

Signups are getting improved with Velocity, and I think they are already working on making it better so no need to focus on that.

So to everyone who wants to remove that 7 day payout, its just no possible by becoming the CEO of steemit. You need to convince the witnesses to make that change. You can even propose it right now if you would like to see it. Maybe even write it up yourself.

But if you want to make any chance on the steem blockchain, you can do so right now. Just make a suggestion in the github: https://github.com/steemit/steem or make a pull request with your changes. You just need to convince enough of the witnesses to make that change.

I would create some kind of wallet mode, just for transactions easy to get, like a ether wallet or so, because I think the tokens would be more scalable if you wouldn't need to have a steemit account to transfer them.

There's not really a lot that can be done in a single day, but I would definitely ask the team to update the user interface for Steemit.com.
