I hate this question. I personally believe that if the end goal is just to be financially rich, your life will suck anyway. The secret is definitely passion. There's an energy to it that people gravitate towards, it creates momentum and will eventually reward you in what you do.

If we look at people like Picasso, Van Gogh, Bill Gates, Steve jobs etc all the famous ones plus the non famous ones. They all have that "it" factor and it stems from them actually caring and working hard on their passion projects. There is also the aspect of Grit. Most people give up way too easily.
