I Love This!

Day 20 - A Song That Reminds You of Your First Summer Love

Ok, so I'm giggling to myself with this one. Now that I've experienced real love, I wouldn't say this one was actual love, but you know how it is when you're 17 lol. It was the summer before my senior year of high school and I had a long time crush on this super funny strawberry blonde kid I knew from soccer. He didn't go to my school, but his soccer team traveled everywhere with my soccer team. His dad was my coach. Our moms played on the same team also, and this lucky summer the moms' team played a tournament in Hawaii. And lucky us, our mom's took us with them.

We were joined at the hip that trip. Probably more because we were the only kids there than anything else. But of course my young 17 year old girl self was sure he was falling for me. An amazing trip, of course. We hiked, we snuck booze, we had a great time. On the plane home we're sitting together and my mom reaches over from the row behind us (if you knew my mom this won't surprise you) and she hands the guy my phone number. So embarrassing!

Anyway, a week later he calls and invites me to a concert. This was the hit song from that show we saw in the summer of 1991. I can't believe I'm admitting this, to be saved and stored forever on the blockchain LOL
