Our "As in Hell" experience

In my "return" post I already mentioned it briefly, the concert I went to with my youngest son. This was the concert of the Danish death metal band "As in Hell". This band is a side project of the frontman of Volbeat, Micheal Poulsen. I already wrote about Volbeat in an earlier post. written, a Danish rock-metal band that became very big.

Michael has a love for death metal and is also influenced from that angle for, for example, songs by Volbeat. He has known the singer (of Asinhell) for a long time and they always wanted to do something together. So now they did :).

The performance was in Utrecht, Vredenburg, a small venue and the complete opposite of where we normally see Michael, in the big arenas. That was really cool actually.

The music is just a bit harder than Volbeat, let's say a lot harder. I had to get used to it for a while but after the first song we both thought it was absolutely great, what energy and how cool to see this in such a small setting.

Normally I always get a shirt at a concert, the As in Hell shirts were real death metal shirts, with matching prints. So I just left them there :)

The support act was a Dutch metal band, I didn't know them but they sounded really cool. Too bad for the guitarist, his amplifier broke down and it took a long time before he fixed it. The music wasn't any less :)

Before the concert we went out for dinner together, that was also an experience. We thought we had selected a regular restaurant, it turned out to be a vegan restaurant. Nothing wrong with vegan, just not for us :)
All in all, another great concert I saw together with my youngest, and I hope there will be many more to come.

Have a great evening,

Peter

Nothing wrong with vegan food :)

That sounds like 'proper' metal rather than some of the posing that goes on. Shirts are pretty expensive these days and you have to find what you really want to wear.

Rock on!

Yes, this was absolutely the real deal :)

They look awesome, I love the legs astride guitar posing! Its how I like to roll!

Much more "Rock and Roll" it isn't gonna get :) They were really awesome, and live those heavy riffs.......goosebumbs....

Metal is awesome. Nothing quite like a fast and powerful show!

Ah, that's like my worse nightmare right there, going into a place and having it turn out to be vegan! My disappointment would have been profound! Are concert T-Shirts any cheaper over there than they are here? Here they are ridiculous!

That was for us quiet the same :) . Shirts are aprox about 35 to 40 dollars. Not the cheapest, but a great memory :) My wife told me to stop cause my closet is bursting lol :)

Haha, I would probably have a lot more than I do if they didn't cost so much!
