I think I said this before but I really cant get into the Foo Fighters. It's not that I haven't tried, that is besides 'Everlong' which is an exception. I just can't hear anything different in my ears.
Good article though, very detailed!

Thanks @slobberchops, it was one of those days, the words were just pouring out of me!
I too tried to like bands that were recommended to me, and sometimes no matter what, it just does not work. But it works like that both ways. I also tried to recommend War on Drugs to everyone, and I have yet to find someone who likes it around me...
As for the Foo Fighters, I would say it's generally too "loud" for me (I know it's not for you since you're into metal), which is why I wouldn't listen to them all the time. But I have added a few songs of them to my phone's playlist and I'll listen to them when I need to renew energy ;-)
(I've also added some of Anathema's following your latest post!)
I'll try to listen to each of the albums to see if I can build my own playlist.
ps: I always feel like a 80-year old guy when I say "it's too loud for me", but I can't help it..
I'm not a big metal fan really, just like a few snippets here and there. I'm much prefer prog and alternative music. I may just create an #alternativeweekend or something as I'm running out of ideas for #metalweekend.
#alternativeweekend would be great @slobberchops! :D
I hope it will be many many songs from the 90's 😊
I second that, I am pretty sure you have some cool bands/songs to share @slobberchops!
