This is Jimi at the isle of wight festival in 1970. This was a huge festival, bigger than Woodstock. It's estimated that 600,000, possibly 700,000 people attended the festival. This is one of my favorite performances by Jimi, especially because I love the version of Red House and Machine Gun he plays here, it's just outstanding blues that weren't played by anyone else at the time. His blues playing and just guitar playing in general are unique. unfortunately, youtube doesn't have this performance but you can find it on dailymotion or vimeo if any of you want to watch it. I highly recommend it.
