Music review: Rollfast "Off! The Twisted"

Hardcore, Punk and Metalcore thrive in a place that was asked as the Land of the Gods. The genre became an outline that dominates in the underground music scene of Bali. The turning point of the monotony is the emergence of music groups that try to leave their old attributes and try to bump their hairs and bring roots from their old story: Rock.

Undeniably, Rollfast is a new paradigm of Balinese underground music, having previously begun by their predecessor, Navicula, Rollfast present and trying to raise the level of Rock in Bali. Does it work? Concrete answer with the birth of their first full album, Lanes Oil, Dream Is Pry.

The birth of their first full album is an achievement that is arguably the best achievement of Rock music in Bali. Maybe you can say with your friend who is an Outsider (familiar name of fans of Superman Is Dead), "This is loh, Bali does not have SID doang!"

Several times crossing to the island of Java and make exciting music, until finally they become the performers of 'Disaster Showcase' which in fact is a regular music mat from the famous clothing line, Maternal Disaster.

Perhaps this is a prefix, not long ago, in 2016 a Rollfast banned agreement with Disaster Records (Maternal Disaster record label) gave birth to a single from the psychedelic rock band with the title Off The Twisted!

Our expectations are very high with this release, to be honest when Lanes Oil, Dream Is Pry are in our music player, our admiration with Rollfast exceeds the level. Our thoughts, "Psychedelic is rich in this, magical!". And of course when on the YouTube channel Maternal Disaster comes an interview with Rollfast (Maternal Disaster always uploads video interviews with Collaborated Bands), we look forward to what releases will be generated.

After the release of the single Off The Twisted !, our expectations became broken. Rollfast is not like the one on the album Lanes Oil, Dream Is Pry. The metal element that is large enough to mix with psychedelic and it seems Rollfast abandoned the old attributes that make Lanes Oil, Dream Is Pry a different psychedelic album.

Off The Twisted! is one of the greatest exploration and maneuvering done by Rollfast even though their age is fairly young. Anger, wrath, aggression and the sharpness of the lyrics became the core of this single. For the music is less prominent, because the song is more dominated vocals from Agha that barked. Yes it is a bit strange tend to be foreign to hear the new Rollfast.

For that, for those of you who expect Rollfast to be the same as in Lanes Oil, Dream Is Pry maybe you'll be a little disappointed. However, if you have fallen in love with Rollfast and are willing to hear Rollfast more aggressive than ever, this becomes one of the releases you should have.
