NEW MUSIC: Mestizo Beat - Featherbed Lane [Latin funk]

Upbeat, latin-funk goodness from Colemine Records! (audio)

As of right now, I'd say my three main go-to funk labels would have to be Funk Night, Timmion, and Colemine. And this newest release from Colemine by a group called Mestizo Beat, doing a cover of Mongo Santamari's "Featherbed Lane" might just be the one of funkiest tracks I've heard from the label yet. I haven't heard the original, but given the amount of orgy of hand percussion, tinges of afro-cuban and afro beat, upbeat, funky as hell drums, a searing sax, guitar, and organ solo, I have a pretty good feeling this cover is pretty faithful to the original. According to the YouTube description, the track is "sure to set dance floors on fire". I'm inclined to agree.
