Here I am, that's me! Eccomi, questo sono io!

2 ° of 8 children, born in Sicily from a family of musicians: grandparents, uncles, brothers and cousins, all (or almost) professional musicians! In the late 70s many of us emigrated: some in Germany, others in England.

I love music that is not "trivial", which leaves traces in the mind, which springs from the heart and goes beyond the strategy of throwaway (today so common)! And it could not be otherwise for those who grew up breathing the various Tenco, Paoli, Mina, Vanoni, Battisti and many others (thanks to my father), as well as the "always green" S. Wonder, Al Jarreau, G. Benson, Chaka Khan, Sting, etc ... Not to mention Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Bobby Mc Ferrin and many others of this caliber.

The favorite instrument is the battery, but polio (which struck me at the age of 13 months), once I gave back the partial use of the hands, forced me to do "of necessity virtue" learning to play at least worse the guitar, an instrument that I used to compose my works (before the advent of the computer). Now, thanks to the new technology (indeed!), I now play almost everything: from the drums to the bass, from the violins to the wind sections. Basically, I'm a miracle ...!

2° di 8 figli, nasco in Sicilia da una famiglia di musicisti: nonni, zii, fratelli e cugini, tutti (o quasi) musicisti di professione! Verso la fine degli anni 70 molti di noi emigrano: alcuni in Germania, altri in Inghilterra.

Amo la musica non "banale", che lascia tracce nella mente, che scaturisce dal cuore e che va oltre la strategia dell’usa e getta (oggi così comune)! E non poteva essere altrimenti per chi è cresciuto respirando i vari Tenco, Paoli, Mina, Dik Dik, Vanoni, Battisti e molti altri (grazie a mio padre), come anche i "sempre verde" S. Wonder, Al Jarreau, G. Benson, Chaka Khan, Sting, ecc… (grazie a mio zio). Per non parlare poi di Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Bobby Mc Ferrin e molti altri di questo calibro.

Lo strumento che prediligo è la batteria, ma la poliomielite (che mi ha colpito all’età di 13 mesi), una volta ridatomi l’uso parziale delle mani, mi ha costretto a fare "di necessità virtù" imparando a suonare alla meno peggio la chitarra, strumento che usavo per comporre le mie Opere (prima dell’avvento del computer). Adesso, grazie alla nuova tecnologia (appunto!), suono ormai quasi tutto: dalla batteria al basso, dai violini alle sezioni di fiati. Praticamente, sono un miracolato…!
