That felt like a really good lesson. I made (and had lots of help with making) an acoustic bass with Martin supllied wood, a preformed neck and sides already bent. Its all cedar , but i used a wood called tata yuba for the bridge. A very rewarding process making the box and yes, like @satoshii, i really admire luthiers skills.
