I like a lot of music, but Texas music has my heart.

P.S. Two SBI shares for whoever finds me a good folk band with a badass sexy outlaw sounding chick singer. Im in the mood for that. Something harder and grittier than Ashley Monroe. The world needs more of that. Banjo helps your odds considerably ;)
Well, there isn't a bad ass lead woman singer, or a banjo....as of yet anyway. But this song is amazing.
The whole album is bad ass actually, if you like this one I suggest checking them out.

They are the modern version of old country music, bout time we got something other than that bubble gum pop country shit. Their outfits just kill me too...I love that look, and the lead singers voice is just timeless.

Ashley Monroe is part of Pistol Annies. Forget the name of the dark haired chick that quit the band, but she's pretty awesome. Googling :)
O so not hardcore enough.. try one of the others I mentioned. Tanya Tucker doesn't have much hardcore but "When I Die" is Texas, through and through.

Dude, that version is sick. That chick's voice is spectacular, in a girl next door sound kind of way, if that makes sense. The banjo could be seen as the ice cream, or the cherry on top. Love it.
