Steemit Sound On the Go for your Videos

I love being "in the moment." I love playing live, and thus on social media I tend to be the same way. I have been using the Zoom iQ5 stereo mic because I can just throw it in my pocket or backpack and be ready fairly quickly to record.

It's not a perfect mic, and Zoom has come out with the iQ6 and iQ7 since I purchased this.
You cannot use it if you have a case on your iPad/iPhone-you will need a lightning extender.

It does, however, have a great processing app. The app, Handy Recorder, has controls for eq, reverb, output format and more.

The mic itself has stereo field width control, mic gain controls, and can be pivoted depending on if you are doing audio or video.

Verdict? It's a great on-the-go mic, but by no means is it perfect. It is plastic, and I have never dropped it (I may hate it if I ever do 😊). I wish they would have included a wind screen and a much needed lightning extender.

I will look into the newer iQ6 and iQ7 though, and report my findings when I use them.
