Introduction
Welcome to the Ledgerback blog!
Please refer to our previous posts for more information about our Co-op model and our products and services.
We have a few updates this week since we released the Blockchain and Music Review Article and Newcomer Kit for public comments two days ago.
Specifically, we are going to focus on our APC documents, September Roadmap, and Community Wireless Mesh Network project.
Documents are APC
In our last post, we made our Blockchain and Music Review Article and Newcomer Kit is available for public comment (APC).
The APC is meant to provide feedback on our research so far and to make sure we have the input of those who are most likely to be impacted by, or interact with, our research documents.
Lastly, we are offering $50.00 worth of Ether to the person who provides the best critiques ($50.00 for Newcomer Kit and $50.00 for Blockchain and Music Review Article).
September Roadmap Checkup
Even though we have had many growing pains and have had to deal with many new situations, we were able to meet most of the goals on our September Roadmap.
Our major September Roadmap goals were to:
- Create a comprehensive draft of our Newcomer Kit;
- Make our temporary website at ledgerback.coop;
- Create prototype market trackers;
- Create a large number of committees covering a wide breadth of topics;
- Create a logo that can also symbolize our principles and mission; and
- Create our official Membership Certificates
We were able to accomplish all of our major goals except for creating prototype market trackers.
Our trackers are still a work-in-progress and we hope to issue our blockchain friendliness chart within the next 2–3 weeks.
Other than that, we have made significant progress on other goals we thought we would not reach until the end of October, notably, our early release of our Blockchain and Music Review Article.
Project: Community Wireless Mesh Network
Our Community Wireless Mesh Network (CWMN) idea is gaining some traction.
We have received helpful comments from other mesh network projects on how to craft our own blockchain-backed mesh network.
Thanks to the comments we have received so far, we can speed up formulating the CWMN node ecosystem, and the physical and network infrastructure.
Hopefully, we can attempt a proof-of-concept within the next 3–4 months.
