In the unlikely event that someone notices, yes I'm a day late this week with my music post, it's okay because I also have an extra bonus tune 🎶 Yes that's right! two pieces, same week (and which go together I think). This doesn't mean I can skip a week either 🎹
The first piece, "Noisy Tiptoes" (4:16) Replacing last weeks drama with this weeks tension feeling like when you trying to be quiet but are maybe failing... and falling, listen here
The second bonus piece is "Soft Landings" (8:15) Falling, however, may not be so bad. Here at least is the hope the tension of the previous piece is aired out leaving a light air about it, and probably leading to sleep. listen here
The instruments are:
- Both pieces are dominated by the piano-ish sounds coming from the Lemon Drop.
- The rhythm sequencer, which also is sounding more piano like than normal, is the Moog Subharmonicon
- The bass and guitar parts are added with my baritone guitar
The AI art generators were failing to provide any useful "noisy tiptoes" or "soft landings" motifs, so instead of working on prompts for hours am using a webcam overhead shot of my synth set up at the time of these recordings. Mostly the mix is dominated by the Lemon Drop (which you can't even see because it's under note paper) and the Subharmonicon. The Neutron is there if you listen but it's low in the mix, and I suspect the Crave is all the way down. I overdubbed the guitar and bass parts using a baritone guitar.
