The year was 2003. I remember it like yesterday because Lebron James had just been drafted to the NBA. My uncle had a room right above the kitchen where he would always create some of the best music that I had ever heard. I was in love with the kitchen. Granted I was a growing boy at the time so I was often in the kitchen to eat. But see, my uncle didn't really like being disturbed during the thought process of creating music so I would sit in the kitchen and just listen to the sweet sounds of new melodies, heavy bass, and a slight west coast feel on the snare because he was a huge Dr. Dre fan. These moments were magical to say the least. I began my musical journey with the heart and mind to always be myself first. Although that didn't always work out. I was able to create great content in the end. So to re-affirm my title statement.
