I've been playing tenor saxophone since grade 9 in high school. That's 3 years of playing, two of those being jazz repertoire. I play in an octet with some friends and we mostly play standards with mediocre solos. We've mostly just played at our school for seasonal events such as our Christmas or Spring concerts. Apart from that, the only gig we've had was at a coffee shop not 30 metres from our school. I've spent the summer playing our repertoire and tidying up my soloing, but I want to learn something new before school starts. Accepting any and all suggestions from the reply section.
This is the Pocock Octet:
[P.S. That's me on the left with the tenor sax]

I suggest Hide and Seek by Joshua Redman:
It is in the key of B concert and it had a cool interlude which will sound impressive if you and your band mates learn to play it in unison.
