Venus In Furs is my fav from this album. Who else would make a BDSM song based on the 1870 Novel of the same name! It's great to see that Angie covered it a few months ago for the new generation to discover.
I think my favorite VU song is, What Goes On, from their 3rd album in 69. It's more of a straight up Rock song, similar to the Garage Rock stuff I love. It's true that they were a very influential band!
Yeah it definitely has a super unique sound, nothing else from that era sounds like this song.

I always wondered about "What Goes On", and if Lou Reed had heard the Beatles song by the same name (which came out 4 years earlier). Both are great, but I was always curious about the title's origins.
I like this song a lot, the album is definitely one of a great many good ones from that time and deserves quite a lot of praise.
