So lets talk a little about the album of Artic Monkeys "Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino". Many offenders would be disapproving of the definition of a mess that some determine Alexander Turner identified as a dissection of the question whether he had become a uncle or not. It is true that the purely visual AM have the habit of bringing something new to every album - the ordinary college student came with the excitement of a brand new concept , which the band recreated with each album. The boys have always been consistent about packaging and content and these visual changes always come with a set of new sounds, a new approach to music and new sound areas for exploration. The album make no exception, and here we find the band at a very distant location from their last station - one of the best rock albums in the recent years and a captivating hegemon in indie rock charts.
here is the album:
The new one finds them in a strange place. Named at the first place of the Moon, where a man walks there, this is a luxurious complex of our natural companion where the lyrical hero explores the meaning of being, swimming in reflections on technology, politics, consumerism, fashion, ties, and malice, life. Closed in polo and jacket with big laps, the protagonist wanders amid the minimalist (compared to to other albums) piano ballads, syntax effects seem to be removed from 70-movie movies and lyrics once again confirming Tuner's alien talent to write strange and extremely witty texts. Undoubtedly, this is the most unusual album of the Monkeys, but if you can get through the initial shock, you will find a great deal of charm in their cinematic universe in this album .
