Pongo (formely known as Pongo Love) was born in Angola in 1992, and grew up in the outskirts of Lisbon when she got the attention of Buraka Som Sistema (BSS) crew. She was the voice behind the hit single “Kalemba (Wegue Wegue)" which was so hot that had likes from Diplo, Hot Chip and even Shakira.
Her talent did not remain undiscovered, which is why she was awarded with the 2020 Music Moves Europe Talent Awards, the EU prize for popular and contemporary music.
